The story goes that the average eye can resolve 5lp/mm at 25cm / 10inches - that''s what camera makers use in general (though Leica uses 8lp/mm I think) for depth of field. Details details. That means about 0.2mm for average eyes (0.1mm for really good eyes). That''s ability to pick out line pairs, ie: things right next to each other.

So, I''d guess you could probably notice the difference between the big and small one.
