Will calibrated stone fit in stock setting?

If I buy an 8mm calibrated colored stone can I count on it fitting into an 8mm stock setting? I ask because I have never bought a colored stone and I have seen some threads where people say a particular colored stone is too deep to fit in a stock setting.

It should. I guess certain stones can be deeper or more shallow but it should fit.

Probably. Depends on the cut of the stone. If it doesn't have a fat belly/pavilion, it should be fine.
