Will a Spessertite work with a tension setting? How much are Kretchmer designed rings?

The topic says it all.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I have read different opinions on whether jewelers will even set a softer stone in a tension setting.

Obviously, I was also wondering the approximate cost for a Kretchmer setting...and is the quality the same if you go with a knock off?

I have a garnet pendant that''s tension set. It is a pentagon shape though and it''s being held on all five sides so I''m not sure if that increases/decreases pressure at all.

pendant won''t have the stress placed on it that a ring will....think of the ring bumps that a ring takes being worn on a hand v. a pendent around the neck..........could pop the stone out or the stone could absorb the damage.
