Will a plain 2mm platinum band wear down over time?

I''ve just bought a 2mm plain platinum wedding band from Blue Nile. I plan to wear it all the time after the wedding and don''t ever want to upgrade it. I received it a couple of days ago, and it looks lovely, but just so... teeny tiny. It is 2mm and 2.0 grams for a size 4.5. It''s fine as it is now, but I just worry that it might wear down over time. Does platinum do this? It is 950 platinum.

All metals wear down over time, depends on what alloy and how it is make, not enough information on BN to tell but it will probably last much longer than a gold band of similar proportion.
