I witnessed one of the kindest, gentlest men I've ever known scream in rage last night--I've never even seen him upset or angry in the 8 years I've been friends with him. I deactivated my Facebook account today--couldn't handle the sadness, shock, and dismay. I did a photoshoot at the most expensive, exclusive restaurant in town tonight--the guests who trickled in around opening at 5 were all white haired and white-skinned and looked positively radiant. I shot photos of dead, cooked ducks and dead, cooked cows. I shot photos of $50 glasses of scotch, and $300 bottles of wine.

Today, I saw America for what it truly is. An exclusive club that only certain folks are afforded entry to. This country and its ilk who elected a pig of a person into the highest office make me physically ill. I am SO SAD that people have paid to be here with their very lives. What an unbelievable atrocity. My faith in humanity has been reduced to zero.

I mean, I know it's just that animals pick up on our emotions and are wonderful at being there for us. It's not like she *actually* knows why I'm like this, but it's working a little. Rainydaze, you are right they do pick up on our moods. Since I have been home Fred and Tommy and Francesca are laying on and around me (they don't all generally do it together like this) and it is making me feel better! Of course our Bobby aka Psycho kitty is nowhere to be found but perhaps our mood is making him even more anxious. (((HUGS))) to you and your family both the furry and human ones.

I could not agree more, Gypsy. Also in CA and shocked/sad/numb. I'm just so tired, and want it to have gone differently SO BADLY. I agree that the RNC will likely remove him in favor of Pence. Especially since he's facing charges of fraud, assault, and rape. Not that I want Pence (ugh), but I 100% think he is better and more level-headed than Trump.
