Hi all,

I am looking for a bracelet to give my wife for our anniversary. I really don't understand why there is such a price difference in between these two bracelets. Could someone explain to me please?

Thanks!

Well first of all you're not truly comparing apples to apples. Price variance on seemingly identical kinds of jewelry/gems is very commonplace in the retail jewelry market. First of all, you're comparing bracelets from two completely different vendors (who knows what their costs were on the pieces), and the workmanship is probably not equal, nor the quality of the stones, cutting, etc. . .

So while you may think you're comparing apples to apples, you truly are not.

You should ask yourself, which one is the better value based on the materials, workmanship, amount of labor, design (and some designers charge a great deal). etc. . .

People here can give you better opinions on that.

As for my opinion, although it's more than twice the price, I prefer the blue nile bracelet as it seems to be a cleaner design, and there's not a ton of prongs to get in the way (prongs get stuck on everything and stones can fall out, etc. . .). However, if you like that design, I bet you can try to find it for less money somewhere else.
