Hi , i am basically looking for a Diamond for the GF's engamenet ring , i seem to be favouring buying from bluenile at the moment , but Solomon borthers and USAcert kinda throw a spanners in the works , as i would like ideal cut diamond , Bluenile show there cuts as :-
Good , Very good and Signature Ideal.
Is Blueniles cut levels a industry standard ?
or for example is Signature ideal , the same as saying polish excellent , cut excellent ? or is it better ?!?!?
The one i like the look of is :-
GIA cert 0.45 carat , signature ideal cut , color E , clarity VS1 at around £773 before UK taxes of around 20 %
Also i am been thrown by the clarity characteristics quoted on GIA certs
For example the one on Bluenile , quotes :- crystal , needle , pinpoint ?
but another similar but VS1 GIA from another supplier quotes :- Chip as its clarity characteristics
Help please !!!!!
