Searching through GIA reports the past few days, I noticed that some GIA reports have the diamond plot and some don''t. The diamond I ordered doesn''t and I would have preferred to see exactly where the feather is on hte plot. Does anyone know why some reports have it and some don''t? I did go to gia.edu to get the full report but again, it doesn''t show a diamond plot...

Thanks!

Different report. Diamond Quality Report has the clarity plot, Diamond Quality Dossier do not. It is also cheaper.

Gotcha. Thank you stone cold!

Another plus of the Diamond Dossier is that you also get GIA laser inscription.
There is also another GIA report without a plot.
The GIA "Color Origin" report, but that''s for Fancy Colors and I assume you bought a colorless diamond.

How large a diamond is it?
Generally we''ve seen the Dossiers used for stones smaller than 1.00ct

Congrats by the way!

I believe it is a 0.8c if you look at her other thread.

Hi Feb

The Diamond Dossier goes up to 2cts nowadays I believe and unlike the traditional GIA report which have the clarity plot, DD graded stones have a laser inscription for identification purposes.
