I''m somewhat of a newbie here, although I''ve lurked from time to time.
It has finally come time to make the life altering purchase (I''d better hurry according to my better half!!!).
Anyways, I have a couple of questions I was hoping some of you may be able to help me out with. First, I am looking for a radiant cut diamond around 1K, that is square rather than rectangle. I''m looking to put it in an Plat. Lucida type setting (or like Vtachi''s Xprong). I know about the 4C''s pretty well.
I''ve actually found a couple that meet my requirements/price guidlines. But, I noticed when viewing the GIA reports that some radiant diamonds have different facets. Is one better than the other? Here is one example:
