I'm officially banging my head against the wall over here.

LOL. I am feeling much the same Zoe. Is it too early for happy hour? It IS 5 o'clock somewhere isn't it?

Well, Kaleigh's serving drinks but I'm more of a dessert person. I'm having angel food cake as we "speak." Would you like a piece?

Ooohhh count me in!! I decided to have a hot brownie sundae last night while the rest of the posters on this thread were having liquor!

I wish any questions about who runs and owns PriceScope wouldn't be moderated. It's a fair and primary question for a site that calls itself a "consumer advocacy" site. Why all the secrecy?

7. Forum policy violation again.

Moderator Action:

1. Use the button for any questions related to thread/post removal, policies clarification, etc.
2. Please do not post assumptions about moderator actions, this creates confusion, use "Report Post" button so that the moderator may clarify it appropriately. We are more than happy to do so.
3. Some actions are subject to judgment calls for the integrity of the forum and should be respected as that.
4. Out of respect for members/moderators and to avoid confusion any public discussions of moderator actions or policies will be removed.
5. We reserve the rights to change policies at any time, therefore, please do not discuss policies publicly as they may change.

Deb You are on a real roll today! Two of your posts today have completely cracked me up you minx.

I haven't been posting much lately, and it is precisely because of all the negativity I feel when reading PS and not wanting to bore everyone with MORE negativity. (Well that and the fact that I really can't relate to many of the insipid, inane posts that are often started.)
I think that the moderation of PS is so constricting (more than before) and I find it frustrating not being able to say what I really want to say. I also find that there are posters in RT and CS who are helpful, but that often they are eclipsed by those who have ordained themselves experts in the field ;))
Ksinger:
FWIW We haven't always shared the same POV and have had our differing opinions in ATW, but I have always enjoyed reading both what you have to say, and the clever way you always say it. I always learn something from you (whether I like it or not) :wavey:
HUGE ditto. I'm not a prolific poster but have been around for over two years now. Of late, I've seen the moderator appear in so many more threads than before to reprimand folks for one thing or another. I don't care for an atmosphere where it feels like big brother is looming over all the time. I understand the need for moderation but it's suffocating, especially in threads where there's no drama but interesting and innocent posts, like one in LIW about inter-racial/inter faith couples.

Something that may not be considered is that while a thread may seem innocent, it has the potential to get out of hand very quickly. This is why PS has adopted policies about restricted topics, because they result in more hurt feelings and anger than they are worth.

Posts and threads are removed for many reasons. Often threads or posts are removed because a number of members complain about it or the OP requests it. So just because a thread is removed or we comment in a thread does not mean we are trying to be constricting, but perhaps that other members of PS were concerned or upset enough to report it to us.

We try to comment in threads before they get out of hand in order to keep it on topic. If the thread gets out of hand we must remove it, so in our eyes it is less constricting to try and turn it back on track first, prior to needing to remove it.

We are not perfect but moderating a forum like Pricescope with so many diverse members is a very difficult task and we do our best.

I don't think Stone should be allowed to have cake. ;)

RedRobbin, you've been here 3 weeks now, and I've enjoyed your posts.
You think for yourself; I like that.
But it's dangerous.
Asking who owns PS is skating on thin ice.

Many of us here have been banned from PS before, but like flies we keep getting back in.
We are just drawn to something.

PS is not a democracy.
We are guests
I'll tell you from experience that admin does not mess around here.

It can be a fun sandbox, but only if we are willing to unquestionably follow the rules on the fence.

Too bad I already finished my cake.

Now my head hurts.... literally... it does.

red - this forum does not reveal the identities of ANY of it's posters without their permission. I rather like it that way and would like to keep it that way. What is your tiff exactly?

*sigh* Okay, even though I'm not a dessert person, I NEED CAKE!

This thread is coming to the end of its useful life but I would like to address one thing prior to putting it to rest.

We take shilling and spamming allegations very seriously and we also expect our few forum rules to be respected. If you have evidence to believe that a member is someone who was banned who is back under another name, or is posting as a consumer but working for trade, please let us know. We do take these issues seriously and will investigate the issue.

There are many consumers on this forum who are very knowledgeable but who do not work for the trade. It is the nature of forums that attract enthusiasts. Significant knowledge does not necessarily mean that someone is a trade member. Please do not make judgements without basis, and please contact us so we may investigate if you suspect trickery rather than making accusations on the forum.
