Please bear with me. I am not able to upload the photo in question (compliments of my PC not being friendly this morning) but I NEED to know whose setting it is that I have saved in my files. For some reason, it wasn''t labelled well and now I cannot find it again *sigh*. Of course this is the design I am leaning towards most now.
I am not a pro like so many of you here but I will do my best to give you a visual description. The setting is question is pictured with a split shank - but only near the top where the center diamond is - so is this called a split crown? The split goes from just under the center diamond a few mm and then comes together.
The shank has diamonds from just under the center diamond all the way around the middle. The front and back where another ring might touch are plain.
The claws have (what looks like to me) micropave down their middles but are solid on the sides and at the top where they hold the center. There are 4 prongs.
The diamond in the center looks like a cushion or mod. square. It is all set in platinum. The thing different about this setting than other split shanks I have seen is that the split doesn''t begin from the diamond - it begins under the diamond (if that makes sense).
I am sure I found this setting off of pricescope or one of its links. I sure wish I could get that file uploaded; it would make this so much easier!
Thanks for your help - if you are brave enough to tackle this with me.
