Ksinger, watching sports on TV sends me into a stupor.

haven''t missed a Super Bowl in 40 yrs.

I love sports! But... the superbowl is usually a disappointment to me. The good games to watch are the championship games on two weeks before.

Football is like church to me - being part of something that is bigger than yourself. I suppose you don't watch the Olympics either . . .

My husband watches it - I hear him yelling and screaming in the living room - I think it is provides a good outlet for his testosterone. He can not grab his bow and arrows and run out of the house chasing a deer - so let him relieve emotionally uplifting experience, even if it means watching TV and being deaf and blind to the rest of the world.

This being said, I like watching ice hockey, tennis, gymnastics and figure skating. But I am not superglued to the TV for hours on end. I usually watch TV and assemble LEGO airplanes (not for myself, of course - I hate LEGO, but that is what they call joys of motherhood).

no watching no interest here - just found out who won about 30 minutes ago and I do have to say that I''m glad the saints won for whatever that''s worth.

Frankly bowling does not interest me, super or not.

I say, if you like it go play it.

Sitting on your butt, watching sports and feeling the feelings of the players strike me as an oxymoron.

Really? So what''s the point of watching ANYTHING on TV then? Why is watching real people competing in a non-staged event an oxymoron? Somehow watching a drama, comedy, sci-fi, etc. movie/tv show and getting into the characters or plot - makes more sense to you? Going to a Broadway show - watching the olympics - watching a concert performance - all the same to you as well?

I find that if you''ve played the sport yourself - even just a pick-up game, you have a greater appreciation for the difficulty and strategy involved. I suppose that is true for being an observer of many things - for example, you have a much greater appreciation looking at a painting in a museum when you''ve tried to paint something yourself.

I watched about 20 mins and the rest of the time watched Nick Jr. Apparently bossy 16 month olds do not like football.

I didn''t watch it - I don''t follow sports at all. I did my taxes while it was on. After I finished my taxes, I watched 2 Fellini films (8 1/2 and Juliet of the Spirits). The income tax books just aren''t surreal enough for me.

Meh, we didn''t watch. I was actually born on Super Bowl Sunday, but I am still not interested in football. I enjoy riding a mountain bike and hiking, but that is the extent of my interest in sports! How about a Shiny Bowl??? I would watch that!

We all watched it. My younger son said he wants to play football part of the time and use the money he makes to buy apartments and hot tubs.
