This is heartbreaking. :((
No vaccine.
No cure.

If a pregnant woman is bitten by the Aedes mosquito (which can carry Zika virus) her baby may be born with microcephaly, a neurodevelopmental disorder, causing the skull and brain to be small and undeveloped.

"There have been around 3,500 reported cases of microcephaly - babies born with tiny brains - in Brazil alone since October." Source: http://www.bbc.com/news/health-35399403

Regions of the most-affected countries are even advising women to not get pregnant.
The virus has spread to most of South and Central America and Mexico.
USA appears to be next.

A terrible situation and incredibly stressful for pregnant women, and their loved ones, who may have been infected and have yet to give birth.

It was on our news today - hopefully they develop a vaccine for pregnant women to help fight it soon.
