In the next couple weeks I should be getting an inheritance from my late husband's father. I am going to take half of it and buy a tennis bracelet. I used to have a 5ctw but it was stolen about 10 years ago. It was prong set with a z in between each diamond. The quality wasn't that great and the prongs sometimes caught on clothes. I think it will be a nice remembrance of them both.
I want to wear it everyday and because I want it to be a little looser then others wear theirs, it will be knocked around a bit.
I have contacted BGD and Whiteflash half bezel, IDJ and Wink full bezel, for quotes on a 3-4ctw, 14k wg, 7.5" bezel set bracelet. I don't need help on the specs of the stones, BGD and WF are F VS, IDJ and Wink pricescope quality.
My concern is the setting. I decided on bezel set because of durability plus, if the bezel is thin, it gives the appearance of larger stones. I am still drawn to 3 or 4 prong but worry about damage and losing stones. Does anyone wear theirs everyday or even 24/7?
What is the setting like? Did you get it from one of the above venders?
I think I have gone through all the posts about tennis bracelets but would like some current input.
Thank you, Nonie.

Mine is 2 ct prong set but because of the economy I haven't been wearing it the last year. It made me feel pretentious around other people. I realize that depends on where you live. In LA I wouldn't have a problem. I prefer the look of a three prong ( but that's not what mine is).

I have a 3 carat prong set braclet that I used to wear everyday until I had children. The last time I wore it I actually knocked out a diamond which I need to get fixed :knockout: . I would definitely do bezel set. I think that will look lovely.

Thanks Sarah. I just received the quote from Luann at IDJ. She quoted on 7.5" .08 stones totaling 3.7 ctw. I'm still waiting on the others. Ideally, I would like the perfect melee that BDG & WF offer but their sites only show half bezel and I like the look of the full, it has a more scalloped appearance. I would love to do it in plat but can't rationalize paying an additional 2 grand.

I have a 3ct, 3-prong tennis bracelet from Whiteflash. I absolutely LOVE it and have worn it everyday since I bought it....well over a year ago. I have not quality issues at all. I personally am not a fan of bezel tennis bracelets, and if that style is chosen, it should be done with larger diamonds IMO. I say this because every bezel tennis bracelet that I have ever seen overpowers the diamonds. It may be different with PS vendors though because they seem to produce more delicate bezels.

The thickness of the bezel is a concern of mine too. A friend found one on ebay, at a great price, for over 6 ctw but it sold today. The bezels were very thin. I'll try to attach pics.

Here's a better look at the size of the bezels on the ebay bracelet. I wonder if the vendors I contacted can get a similar setting?

I think bezel set and prong set tennis bracelets are completely different looks. I prefer the 3 prong so that I have the illusion of a continuous line of diamonds (aka sparkle) instead of each diamond being individually pronounced, which can still produce sparkle, but in a different way.

Hi Nonie, I have a 4.5 ctw four-prong tennis bracelet (10 pointers) and wear it regularly. I also had concerns about the prongs catching on things. So far after two years I am still happy with it, though I must admit I sometimes baby it. If I had to do it over again I might go with a full bezel just for the fact that I could wear it 100% worry free.

I stopped by a B & M and tried on different sizes of prong set bracelets. They were beautiful but after taking my bezeled eternity and setting it on my wrist, I decided to go with bezeled. The eternity has 3mm stones with a .5mm bezel so very little metal shows and each diamond with bezel would be 4mm and match the size of my 20 pointer eternity band.
Does anyone have a tennis bracelet with thin bezel, if so what vendor?

I think you can ask any of the vendors to do a thinner bezel and they will be able to deliever. With the IDJ one that might have on purpose shown it with a thick bezel to make the diamonds look bigger. Personally I don't think you can go wrong with BGD, IDJ or WF for this type of thing. I would go with whoever had the price you were most comfortable with and could promise a thin bezel like your inspiration ebay pic.

NonieMarie - I'm glad that you decided to go bezeled. I read your post yesterday, and I kept thinking that for durability and constant wearability, no prong will ever beat a bezel setting.

Please keep us in the loop on your tennis bracelet journey. This item is on my personal wish list as well. :))

Condolences to you and your family on the loss of your FIL.

I really only wear my 4 ct. 4-prong set one on special occasions. I do think bezel set would be my preference. But I would prefer the diamond quality of WF or BG, so I would be checking with them on what bezel settings they can access.

I have a 6ct half bezel tennis bracelet that I wear frequently. It gives the look of a continuous line of diamonds which I like. And there are no prongs to catch on sweaters etc.
