I got hooked on The Young & the Restless years ago by my mother. Still watch when I can (maybe twice a week). I often wonder if Catherine Chancellor''s gemmies are real!!
I get so annoyed at myself, because there''s always a point where it''s like, "This is just getting ridiculous!", but nevertheless, I keep going back for more!

Which ones do you watch??

I do! I watch Y&R and General Hospital. My DH actually watches General Hospital with me too, because it appeals to guys with the mob storylines, lol.

My house are all hooked on Coronation Street. Can''t get enough of it!

I used to be hardcore hooked on Days of Our Lives years ago, but after watching one of the main characters play a woman possessed by the devil I lost interest lol. That was just too much for me.

Y&R! Although really I just read the recaps instead of actually watching. www.young-restless.com posts the recaps a day early b/c it airs the day before in Canada.

Apple, good link! I have to go back in time and find out how Adam got his sight back... I still can''t figure out if he''s still blind or not (I missed a chunk of time moving)

Laila, my DH gets ''stuck'' watching Y&R with me sometimes. I think he enjoys it more than he lets on...

Porrige... I never heard of Coronation Street. UK, I''m assuming?? My mom''s stuck on Eastenders... although I think the episodes are way behind in the US.

MP - yeah, sometimes Y & R gets nutso too. Some of the soaps are REALLY out there, with supernatural stuff and everything... Okay, they''re ALL really out there

I watch One Life to Live and General Hospital. It''s completely mindless TV and somewhat of a waste of time, but I really enjoy the relaxing time. I''ve watched ever since I was around 8 or 10 years old (*way* too young, if you ask me!). My mom always tried to prevent me from watching, but she would watch her "shows" late at night and I would always listen when she didn''t realize I was awake! I got hooked and I''ve been watching ever since. In fact, I''m about to start watching General Hospital right now!

yeah Coronation Street is English. Eastenders is really popular but I can''t get into it. One soap is enough for me I suppose!

I''ve been watching As the World Turns for about 30 years now! I started watching with my grandmother when I was about 8 years old. I would never make it home from school in time to see the whole show so I loved the summers when I could watch full episodes. I got a bit sidetracked in college but I''ve been taping it (now DVR''ing it) forever. I was even a casting intern on the show when I was in college--it was AMAZING! I''m slightly devastated that it''s going off the air this year. I''m not sure how I will fill the void, even though the storylines have gone waaaay downhill over the past few years. The show has been a part of my life for so long now, it''s very sad!

I am a Coronation Street fan, I have been watching it for about 30 years!

I don't watch them anymore, but I grew up watching "The Young and the Restless" and "As the World Turns" with my mom. She still TiVos them and catches up after work. My aunt used to be friends with Martha Byrne's mom (Martha is Lily on AtWT). I loved watching it because I felt like I knew her, although I had never met here before. I also used to watch "General Hospital" for YEARS, but I haven't seen it in a very long time. My favorite days of GH was when Robert and Anna were on.

Coronation Street is a guilty pleasure. And sometimes I watch Young and Restless because Victor cracks me up-the way he talks without moving his mouth. Is he still on?
