Here are a few more items that I picked up yesterday.
This cool vintage lucite purse has rhinestones! I had to have it.

And this Wedgwood vase is stunning. Depicting the four seasons as cherubs, there are four images around the vase.
Made sometime between 1891 and 1908.

@stracci2000, Wow, the blue on that vase is striking, I usually only see the lighter blue and more recently I found a piece in light purple.

LOVE the lucite purse, talk about having all your contents on display though
I would be really bad if I was single and get one of those and fill it up with condoms before going out.

@stracci2000, I didn’t get it because I’m not really a glass or porcelain person (ducks for cover so Stracci doesn’t hit her with a flying piece of Wedgwood). My collectibles are limited to one case and it is full so......
It did have the box but I have no idea how much it was, the shop was on the expensive side so probably not cheap.

Better yet I’m going to get a Lucite purse put a whole bunch of condoms in it and then just go random places, grocery store, vintage shopping, I can just see the stares from the conservative Connecticut folk!

Today’s haul! I came upon gold filled Victorian buckle bracelets, I bought this one because I found a matching locket but the bracelet is missing the buckle part.

The elephant is an ivory tie tack, this is my only piece of ivory but it seemed wrong to leave it in a basket on a floor of a store.

Any guesses on what the item is in pics 8, 9 and 10? I also had to grab that rhinestone snowflake brooch.

Wow! These are so great!!
I would've grabbed them, too! Just wonderful!
I'm glad you got the little ivory guy. I love the snowflake, too.
The one mystery item looks like a clip? Maybe for gloves or mittens?
Good haul, sister

Edit-- found a similar one here, yes--for gloves!

@stracci2000 right you are, it is to hold gloves! I had no idea until the woman told me. Just to be clear I didn’t buy the other three bracelets just the one with the garnets that matched the locket. She did however have a gold filled garnet bangle that I came across and I kind of wish I would have bought that too.

This booth is in an indoor flea market and she has all these plastic boxes filled with jewelry, you could spend all day in there. Some of them are on the floor under all this stuff just stacks and all kinds of things are piled on top too. It’s a miracle to find anything matching in there!

I have no doubt that I would!
I kind of obsess in a place like that, looking at everything three times to make sure I haven't missed anything.
The shopkeepers probably think I'm weird.

I don’t think they care as long as they are making money!

DH is currently working on a project to turn a meat grinder into a lamp so if it’s successful I’ll post a picture later!

A little background here...when our middle son was little I would get towels warm in the dryer and he had a nice warm towel when he finished his bath. Several years ago I found a Sharper Image towel warmer at the local Goodwill for $19.99. I gave it to him, he was living on his own and married by then. It finally wore out. He’s 31 years old and fast forward to today. I found an new unopened towel warmer in the local consignment store for $49.99. No shame in my thrifting game...and no shame in his love for a hot towel either. Now, they have a little two year old son to show how good a warm towel feels after a bath!! Ta-da!

If we had to do it over I would opt for a dark finish lighting kit vs the gold bright finish. However we already had the lighting kit, so here is the breakdown:

Meat Grinder $20
Strainer $16
Finial $6

$42 all in! Granted we could get those costs down even lower for the strainer and finial if we we looked around more.

BE20F151-3EFD-4AE2-998E-C40B7B731EC4.jpeg

This was the inspiration at a cost of $125!

He still talks about how I’d warm his towels for him. I don’t know why I did it or when exactly I started but I guess I was just being a mama taking care of that baby. Also, his appreciation for that warm towel was very much evident. He said when he was at Mississippi State he’d get up before class, get a hot shower and get right back in the bed, saying it was the best thing ever. That child is something else. He’s a mechanical engineer now, but still likes that kind of thing.

Thanks @stracci2000 it wasn’t really hard to do either, you do need some tools but it’s a pretty easy project.

I went back and bought the bangle but to be honest I’m not sure what I’ve got here

No markings and the stones have to be glued in because the prongs aren’t holding them in.

I think this bracelet is Victorian revival, maybe from the 1960s.

I love the doggies looking at the doggie pin!

I had one back in 2018! I am terrible at accounting and filing my taxes as a small business owner was way more than I could handle!

I paid $2 for that box btw ;)2
