So funny story, I was just lamenting to my neighbor about how all our forks seem to have disappeared, we are down to three forks and a meat serving fork....for four people.

As I was texting her I remembered that years ago I picked up a set of silverware in a chest off Freecycle, it’s been on top of the fridge for years. Pulled it down and hallelujah there are forks! This is a set of silverware by Community called Silver Artistry, it is silver plated, there are also a couple of other utensils with a different design:

They are so pretty!
I have a handful of silver plated forks and spoons. It's fun eating with fancy silverware and antique dishes. Mine are all mismatched!!

I wonder where all your forks went? A mystery!

I think the kids threw them out by accident, where else could they go? It’s a mystery! Maybe the missing socks from the dryer and the missing forks are colluding together!

I do think the locket is machined because the pattern is very fine, I almost wonder if the original owner had this made specially for her.

Hi @Cozystitches
This is a machine from 1913. My father in law showed up at our house with it one day. "Do you guys want this?" he said. LOL...heck yeah!!!!

My DH, who is a photographer, got a model to pose with it.

I have seven vintage machines (in my 1500sqft house) ;-) They are stashed mostly in the living room! This is my "desk" (a 1912? Singer 66K). Normally my laptop sits on the cookbook. I also have a handcrank that I can use for this one. My eldest daughter wants this machine when I go. 1606570308778.png

This is my Singer 206k (my favorite) and most used machine. I sew the majority of my clothes on this machine. It's from the 1950s and can do straight or zigzag (history note: this is Singer's first home model that could do the 2 stitches). Also in this picture are 2 more machines (Elna Supermatic (it's very well hidden on the left side by the black chair) and a Kenmore 1040 (it's the plastic case you can see at the bottom). The Elna is really cool, the case folds out to be the extension table and I totally bought it for that fact. I don't typically use it because it has a "flat spot" on the drive and sounds like I'm trying to drive a car with a flat tire. It also has a knee pedal which I think is super cool. The Kenmore has the rose case (super pretty) and I bought it when my beloved 206k was in the shop. It's one of my only machines that has plastic parts.

Also in the living room (but off to the side in her small case) is my Featherweight. This was the machine that started me on the vintage kick. I love her, but she doesn't get used much. I bought her with the intent on using her when we travel....in our RV. As it has not yet happened that we have the RV, she's still waiting. I also have the special table she goes into (it's a folding table w/a cut out).
The last two machines are in my bedroom: Singer 401a which has a bunch of stitches and I bought for when my beloved 206k dies. Unfortunately, she doesn't do zigzag well and I'm looking at selling her. :/ I also have a 201 in a stand that acts as my vanity. I had given that to my dad but he didn't use it and so I got it back. :D

That's all my vintage babies, and I love them!!!

Oh wow, @Cozystitches you promised us sewing machines and you really delivered. I can’t sew but I can appreciate the beauty in these machines, it’s also wonderful to have something so aesthetically pleasing AND functional.

@stracci2000, your husband is so talented, I thought that picture was an old ad when I first saw it! Love your machine too, so pretty!

It was great “meeting” all of you last night!

When we got the machine, I knew it had to be in one of DH's photos.

We had this model scheduled for a shoot. She does cosplay, and wanted photos in her Rapunzel outfit. So I knew she would be wearing a wig with a long braid. We just happened to have this antique-ish pink lace dress from the thrift store, and I thought it would work. If I see interesting dresses or gowns, I buy them just to keep on hand. I think this dress was about $5.00
So after the Rapunzel photos were done, she changed into the pink dress.
DH did all the rest, I just supplied the dress.
This photo actually won an award at a show last year.

Thank you so much @stracci2000 and @winnietucker, the box is one of the best useful things I’ve bought lately!

@Cozystitches, I don’t have a separate thread about it but it is a 17 point transitional diamond in the center with synthetic sapphires surrounding. I’ll take some more pics for you when I have a chance =)2

Hubby went to the pawn shop today to buy some Transformers, yup he is a toy guy. I picked up this two tone band, it is a 10 3/4 so it fits on my middle finger and is stamped “JJS” for JJ Sommer Co. (thank you Lang’s hallmarks =)2)

@lala646, as a chocolate fiend I very much appreciate your bonbon reference :lickout:

Thanks @stracci2000, I was not anticipating find anything, I’ve been there before and haven’t even found anything exciting. They are more of a toy, electronics type place.

For you @Cozystitches, the lighting in my house is rubbish. If I remember correctly the center diamond is G color VS2, the head is white gold or platinum and the rest is yellow gold. It is rather unusual for find a seven point star in these cluster rings.

I should really sell this because I don’t wear it but it was part of my journey to find the perfect cluster.

@YadaYadaYada That is so neat!!!! Keep me in mind if you decide to sell...but remember, the bling budget is teeny....unless you're interested in a handmade bag as trade ;-)

I saw your Instagram post and was hoping there would be photos here as well! That is absolutely beautiful.....it reminds me of "Downton Abbey."

I don’t have this yet, these are the seller’s photos but I bought this to wear my locket on because it keeps flipping on a regular chain. Figured the dog clip would remedy that. However it is 16” and I usually buy 18” so hoping it fits! It is silver and btw the prices for these are so crazy right now since they are on trend, finding one for a reasonable price is a challenge!

I did commit to a bling ban for December and thought this threw me off if that but then someone said this is more of an accessory....so not true bling ;)2
Still compliant then!
