The Maxwell concert was SO MUCH FUN!!! We really enjoyed ourselves! It was our first concert together, and it was really a great experience for us both! I was a bit anxious that SO wouldn''t enjoy himself, but Maxwell was very energetic and animated, such a great performer! I was really impressed, and the ladies were going WILD! Lol. It was a fun concert, and I''m really glad we got to so. I really want to see Anthony Hamilton and John Legend Locally, but I don''t think it''s in the cards... Too close to X-mas and I am broke!!! LOL!

I love this thread. I just found this part of Pricescope.. I''ve been blinded by the sparklie side. Seems we like the same kind of music. I am a HUGE Anthony Hamilton fan!!! I would LOVE to see him in concert! LUCKY YOU! I''ve been waiting for you to get that diamond because I''ve only seen two people in my lifetime with a trillion center stone. ONe was GINORMOUS and very well cut, the other one was also a nice size, but didn''t sparkle much..

If I am being honest, I am not all THAT anxious about being engaged, but I really would like to be engaged by late June when his brother has his baby. I AM anxious about being an auntie!!!

PennQuaker, my favorite Maxwell songs are "Whenever, Where ever, Whatever" and "Fortunate". They give me CHILLS! It''s funny, before the concert, SO really didn''t want to play Maxwell music, now he puts it on for me all the time!

Random things about me:

* I sometimes snooze the alarm clock for hours AFTER I am awake. I don't know why, it's like the reflex to snooze is far easier than the reflex to turn the thing off. I only do this when it plays music, when it is on buzzer, I become close to homicidal.

* If I had one dollar left to my name, I would become OBSESSED with spending it. I think this is like standing on a ledge, and wanting to jump. Except that I would probably spend the dollar, and on something dumb, like fries at Wendy's...

* I don't really like chick flicks. I think movies like SATC make women seem completely vapid. BUT I LOVE war movies and football movies! Also indy films!

* I had my tongue pierced from 18-20. I loved that people rarely saw it, and that people knew me for years and never knew that I had one. My parents never knew, until someone ratted me out!

Two months after I got it, I met my first boyfriend. I took it out, because I didn't want my first kiss to be with a tongue ring. I put it back in after we broke up a few months later. When I was 21, I repierced my tongue for a few days so that I could kiss my current bf

* Most people think that I am being indecisive when I am really feeling indifferent.
for example:
Where do you want to eat?
me: I don't care.
them: Panera or Chipotle?
Me: I don't care (thinking: I want to eat, bottom line. I don't care where...)
if I DON'T want to do something, I WILL let you know. Nicely, of course...

* I recently realized that my SO and I are a touchy-feely couple!

I think you get so habituated to your own situation that it doesn't occur to you that other people do different things. The realization came after spending X-mas with my family commenting on us constantly holding hands (yes, after 5 years, we hold hands all the time, sometimes even when he is just on the PC, lol!), then I talked to my roomie about relationships, and she was lamenting the lack of affection she got in hers, and a light bulb went off. Geez, we are all over each other! Whoa!

I am SOOOOOO not the touchy-feely type! How did this happen??? LOL!

* I get really angry when my friends have kids and don't proliferate pictures of them. My friend and I once started a FB group to force a friend to post pictures of her child. 150 people joined. She posted the pictures after that, and made a page for her daughter.

OMG! I wish you hadn''t asked that. I shoe SUCK! I have never gotten into shoe shopping, because shoes are a.) expensive, and b.) I lack the necessary fashion sense. I am one of those people that finds a pair of shoes that I like, and then I buy them in multiple colors.

It''s really sad. I think I have one pair of shoes that I love, that are BCBG black patent leather heels, closed toe, but strappy. I get a lot of compliments on them, even at church. They are much more tasteful than they sound.

I like plain shoes, and if I am honest, I would wear flip flops everywhere if I could.

* I just started watching desperate housewives. Yes, I am all late.

* I don''t have cable. Consequently, I have a tendency to overstay at SO house, since he has cable. I think he GOT cable just to entice me to stay.

*I hate being a slave to tradition, but I like making and keeping my own person and family traditions. I am weird like this. I am always telling SO we should start some traditions, which he thinks is very odd. He grew up Jehovah''s witness, and is not accustomed to holidays or really any excessive celebration. I am still breaking him in, 5 years later.

*I love giving gifts. Unfortunately, I am poor, so I can''t afford the good stuff yet. My sister, dad and I are master gifties, and my brother and mom are gift grinches, lol. They are not allowed to buy presents.

*I hate asking people about their relationships because I fear asking them about people who they are no longer with. I just imagine us both as embarrassed and uncomfortable. I thought that this would change once my friends got married, but then the divorces started...

*I am 5''5 3/4 inches. This hurts my heart.

*I want to complete a triathalon, but I am not a competitive person. I want to do it on a Huffy, and I see no problem with this. Everyone else that I know disagrees with me on this... except ONE person, who is training for the Ironman. I am most inclined to believe him.

I think I have around 140 pairs (hiding head in shame) which is utterly obnoxious. But I''m slowing down on buying them because the designers are coming out with styles I just don''t like. And I don''t own Manolos. My pockets aren''t that deep. My average shoe probably costs around $100 or so, but I buy A LOT on sale. A pair that should get here on Friday was originally $130+ and I got them for $45.

I am still on Facebook. I have connected with a lot of friends and family on there, and I LOVE IT! I can see pictures of weddings, babies, graduations, engagements, you name it! I will only friend people that I know IRL, and I have never had a problem with it. I don''t post inappropriate pictures or comments (with the exception of partisan political posts), so I don''t see any problem. Everyone is on Facebook these days. Actually, that is where I met the breeder of my dog. I was in a breed specific group and asked some questions, and she was so helpful , I bought one of her dogs! LOL!

I DESPISE Myspace, and think it is useless.

I have two myspaces...one for public viewing and one for my close friends.

I did go through a phase in college where I was shopping a lot. I had cool shoes then, but they are all horribly out of fashion now. I look at them and cringe. Actually, I look at pictures of how I dressed in college and cringe. I swear, fashion has become much more important than it used to be. My sister is such a fashionista, and I never recovered from being a slob after going to an all girls school. I had a uniform and still managed to look a mess. And I had some shoes that looked like cheap lace up boat shoes, they were HIDEOUS. I called them my slave shoes, since no free human should have to wear them. This was a family joke, but my parents still didn't buy me new shoes. I only sort of cared, I think I was too busy being self righteous about being the neglected middle child or something... lol. Who knows that teenagers think or do!

I DID hear that you are shorter at the end of the day. I don't remember what time it was, but I am too scared to get measured again, lest it shake my world view and I develop a little person complex!

Fav comfort food = Chicken Curry and Naan. Mmmmmm!!!! Strangely, I have been craving fried chicken, which I never really ate before (at least by choice), Weird. I also LOVE pesto pizza, well, pesto ANYTHING, and soft tacos from chipotle. Yummy! and Lettuce Wraps from Cheesecake Factory.

Fav dessert would be something sinfully chocolate, like a tall cake from Ruby Tuesdays! Or this amazing cake that I make... Le bere noire!!!! Also, these cinnamon rolls! They taste like cinnabon, I swear! One more... Birthday cake remix ice cream from Cold Stone, but with peanut butter ice cream instead of cake batter. Ok... now I want desserts... lol.

ETA: I don't think I can wear 4 inch heels. For one, I am only 2 inches shorter than SO, lol and he would think I was nuts, AND I don't think I walk very gracefully in heels. SO likes to make fun of me from time to time. I told him to strap some on and see how HE does!

I think I start to totter around 3 inches...

I found these Chocolate Souffles at Trader Joes that I''m obsessed with making. They are super yummy, and all you have to do is throw them into the oven. I''m so not a chocolate person too.

You might find this funny, but I have a tendency to fall a lot (I blame my surgery 5 years ago) so I''m not the best in walking in heels either!

Haha I had the opposite situation with friends in that they were all like 5'5" and under so I felt like some kind of amazon monster or something next to them! Or at least able to mind more cute ones that were not like $30 each. Oh well. Well I could see being upset about stopping at 3/4. I was lurking, so I thought I would say hi!

Yes I do fall. See, I had this breast reduction thing and they removed 7 pounds of tissue and after that I fell everyday for a year. Which is quite amusing because I didn't wear heels ever for that year. Actually, I fell on my 22nd birthday and really messed myself up pretty badly. But still. I have a low center of gravity, so you would think I wouldn't fall that much. But no. I fall all of the time.

The ironic thing is that FI NEVER falls. He's like a freaking cat.

ETA: Do you have a favorite drink (alcoholic or non)? What about weird food hangups?

... ok, so I can''t afford all of the stuff that I would need, but I found a totally bootleg site where they show you how to make one out of common objects. Here''s a link... So I am going to give him a list of half the stuff, and give him addresses of thrift store and hardware stores, and my GPS, and we will source and scavenge the parts, then come back and build one. Then I will record him singing with it. It will be the most fun ever. Oh, yeah, this is for V-day. Yes, this is my idea of a romantic project, LOL.
