Who Who Wants to be a Trillionaire?

trillion, I only read your first page and this page...because your thread grew so freakin'' fast!!!!

Your ''how we met'' story is adorable. It sounds like you and your SO have an amazing foundation to your relationship! Did you ever ask him why he never asked you out???
3.gif
And, your dog is ridiculously cute.
9.gif

I also celebrate my half-birthday...but only because it falls on my dad''s birthday!

To you and Maggie, I don''t actually celebrate my half-birthday, but I do acknowledge it. I think I only care because it is the leap year day, lol.

As far as why SO didn''t ask me out, because he is LAME!!! I blame it on the all girls high school, but I asked him out, prompted him for our first kiss, prompted his first "I love you", and a few other firsts... And I would totally ask a guy to marry me, because I would rather know than be in limbo (I ABHOR SUSPENSE! Pretty sure I have undiagnosed anxiety problems), but I patently REFUSE to ask SO to marry me. I told him, while laughing, That I have carried this relationship long enough, and if he wants it to move forward, it''s his responsibility! He thinks it''s funny to goad me about proposing. Man, I''ve thought about it many times... if I had a ring right now... man.

And yes, my thread has been on crack today!

More TMI about me:

* When I was a kid, I would do backflips off of diving boards. One day, I was doing a backflip, and I was about to hit my head on the board. My brother and sister SCREAMED my name, and I caught the board in mid air, like I was at the top of a chin-up, looked at them and said "WHAT?!?" True story. I pretty much stopped doing backflips after that...

* I am a Virgo, but in no way consider myself a perfectionist. I wonder if this is because I was born a month early, but I don't know what my sign would be if I was born a month later.

* I fear the power of suggestion.

* I can drink 3/4 of a bottle of wine with no problem. If I drink the entire bottle, I will be really sick. This is an established theory, not a hypothesis.

28.gif

* When I was a kid, I wanted to be a veterinarian, then I realized that I could never put animals to sleep. Ironically, I moved on to the idea of being an anaesthesiologist. I had NO problem with the idea of putting people to sleep, haha!
12.gif

* I have accepted rides from strangers on a number of occasions. These are usually part of a really funny or crazy story, but my friends and family are alway still furious with me. I hate feeling like the only reason I can't hitch hike is because I am a girl. Hitch hiking seems so American to me.

* I don't really believe in ADD, but if it is real, I am pretty sure I have it. I CAN NOT FOCUS!!!

HA@ I was diagnosed as an adult. Apparantly, when I am uncomfortable, I say REALLY inappropriate things. But, people always LAUGH. So it was never that big of a deal. I actually did stand up for awhile because of it... oh and the medicine they put you on SUCKS!!!

I also wanted to be a vet. Till I realized I''d have animale peeing and pooping and BLEEDING on me. Weird that I volunteered at a humane shelter for YEARS and was peed on Pooped on and bled on, and would deal with them being put to sleep.. and that didn''t bother me as much as I thought it would. Oh well. I like the cute fluffy animals anyway!

So... what kind of wine do you drink?

I like whites (I know, I have no class or taste, right?), like Chardonnay. There is one by Two Tone farms that I like. But any white will do. I hate white Zinfandel.
14.gif
I love eating cracked pepper water crackers with white cheddar cheese, and either smoked salmon or turkey pepperoni. Mmm. Best combo with wine!

I think I am going to propose to him, too. Sometime after he proposes to me... I think it will be incredibly fun and romantic and surprising, and I am all about gender equality. Plus he LOVES the ring I gave him for our 5th anni, he wears it all the time
30.gif
I can see him now bragging about his proposal, and thinking about it makes me all giddy!
36.gif

I think he wants a two tone ring, so if the engagement one is wg/yg/wg, the wedding ring will be yg/wg/yg. I also really like the Mokume Gane rings, and the DIY ones from the Wedding Ring Workshop.

I need a JOB!

I can''t drink red wine (migraines). I hate white zin. I had a very very bad experience with this a couple of times... and what a horrible hangover! YUK.
I love cracked pepper water crackers/ with allouette fine herbs brie cheese. It is sooo good. You must try. I''ll have to try it w/ your rec. I really like rieslings... YUMMY. I also love really dry "sparkling wine" or the desert varieties. I am all over the board! :) Weird because the pinks dont give me headaches... only the reds - and merlot is the WORST!

Do you have any quirky habbits?

I have great toe dexterity. I can pick things up with my toes and usually do this instead of bending over. They also have very strong grip, and I can grab, hold or pinch with them. Apparently this is odd. Who knew?

Ok yes....a little odd. But I hate feet. If we were friends IRL I would only spend time with you if you kept your socks on!

Sadly, no. I can''t get anyone to run with me, which is the stupidest excuse EVER since I have a dog who wants nothing more in life than to run, constantly! She''s like a freaking gazelle! I''m hoping her athleticism will rub off on me, because mama wants to lose some poundage!

The LA marathon was INTENSE! We trained through the winter, and the temp was never above 70 degrees. I hate being hot, and mostly hate the sun, so I actually did most of my runs in the early evening, or at night on the track (except for group runs). Well, here comes THE BIG DAY, and what do you know, it''s 92 degree! A RECORD for the LA Marathon! People are passing out left and right, and heat is literally radiating from the street. It was awful, I was totally unprepared. And none of my friends came out to watch me. I was so slow, it was kind of disappointing, and I didn''t put the right running chip monitor thing on my shoe, so no one got my time updates. So it was kind of a bust, even though I don''t regret it for one second. I would actually like to do another one, someday! But it was really sad when I was leaving, because I was all by myself, and I limped to the bus, got back to campus, slowly rode my bike home (this took a REALLY long time b/c I was so sore, already!) Oh, and I had shin splints. And I had 2 exams the next day, and a study group coming over to my house that night. I laid on the floor during the entire review and refused to move. And afterwards, I think 4-6 of my toenails fell off, over the next 4 months.

Fun times!

HUGE HUGS!!!!!!!! I have had GREAT experiences, and bad experiences running. The worst was when my grandpa and his new GF came to watch My half... I ended up with a really bad bout of ITBS and actually really irritated the tendon. Knee gave out at mile 6, I fell to the ground. Started crying... and had to walk the rest of it in. I was soo dissappointed... it was the only race my DH never has done with me... adn he's beat himself up ever since. The worst part, was my grandpa didnt want to meet me at the finnisher's circle. I had to walk back to the 20K marker to meet up with them. I was hungry, tired, in pain, and angry. I actually ended up stuck on the toilet because my knee froze due to all the swelling. My hubby (FI at the time) helped me off the toilet, into my swimsuit, and carried me 2 blocks to the hottub. I married a true gentleman... and I love him dearly.
Does your SO not run with you???? Nothing like working up a good sweat, before working up a good sweat!

My dog/diva is picture on the top of page 5 of my thread. She''s a riot, and really keeps me on my toes. She growled at my roomie when she came home today, because the noise had disturbed her slumber. What a princess!
20.gif

SO does capoeira, but is not much of a runner. We ran together a few times in undergrad when I was training for the marathon (when we weren''t dating), but I''m all out of shape now. Plus he''s not a big guy, and he doesn''t want to ''lose weight''. We are supposed to start doing P90x together soon, which should be pretty hysterical. That way we can both build muscle, and I can walk/run the dog to get in the extra cardio I need. (this is my idea of a two state solution, lol) Someone also asked me if I was interested in flag football for the spring, so I might have to look into that also... LOVE flag football!

THAT IS RIGHT, the RHODIE! OMG, She NEEDS to run! I work with a lady that has 2, and she runs them 3-5 miles every morning... rain or shine, healthy or sick... her boys wake her up for their morning runs! And they are spoiled too!
I LOVE FOOTBALL... drinking beer, and watching! Flag football would be killer fun too! My DH wants me to do p90x... but I am lazy. I think running 30 miles and swimming 1600-2000 meters a week is MORE than enough. I did love the strength training.... but I don''t have a lot of time w/ all my running! HA!
Walking the dog is great though... you burn 80 calories every mile you walk and 110 every mile you run... motivation???
9.gif

hmmm.... tell me more! THink of something spontaneous... the first thing that pops in your head... and TYPE! GO!
31.gif

WOW trill...that''s quite the marathon story!!! Be proud that you ran it though because I don''t even have the guts to consider training for one! I can''t believed you biked home...you poor thing!

Ok, Capoiera (did I spell that right?) is hot. There is so much athleticism involved....when your BF does capoiera, do you swoon?
2.gif
31.gif

I took a couple of years off running and I completely understand how it''s hard to get motivated again when you have no one to run with. I wouldn''t have gotten back into it if my friend wasn''t leading a clinic (and I still run with her to this day!). You just need that ONE person to get you going!

Ok...I''m waiting for you to spit out one crazy thing (as per tlh''s request)...I''m sure it''ll be a doozy!
9.gif

All I can say is kudos to you guys that can make a serious go of running. I''m so winded after jogging half a block, its not even funny. I''ll just stick to walking. It doesn''t hurt as bad!
