Ms. Trillionaire-

From your awesome new peridot ring to your creativity with custom champage bottles, I''ve enjoyed your posts... Please, tell us a bit more about yourself.
9.gif

I would like to know more too, pls!

Ooh, I want to learn more too!

that''s a quadritto! I love learning more about everyone!!

Bumpity, Bump....

23.gif

I''ve been knee deep in the political threads, I don''t think I even KNOW who I am anymore
3.gif

I''ll be back shortly to fill you all in...
35.gif

I want to know about you too. I love reading your posts!!!
1.gif

First, I would like to Thank PrincessDijon for starting this thread!
36.gif
I am very flattered. Thanks also to those who have expressed interest... I hope I don't disappoint!

I live in NC, with my Rhodesian Ridgeback, Heiress (read: Harris). She's one, and she makes my life very entertaining. She exercises with my exercise ball, which I find hysterical. I got Heiress because I was super lonely... SO lives in DC, and we have been dating for 5 years. School, and my inability to figure out what I want to do is keeping us apart
15.gif
. I try not to dwell on it
28.gif
We've known each other for 8 yrs, and we met at our alma mater, the best school ever, Univ. of Southern California!
30.gif
Fight on!

My screen name, Trillionaire, is because of my love of trillion diamonds. The first time I saw one, I knew that it was what I had to have, and I am very excited to own one someday. I am 99% certain that SO has already made the big purchase (in june or July), but I have convinced myself otherwise, because waiting is BORING!
20.gif
It amazes me how different men and women are. If I was proposing, there is NO WAY I could wait, I would be SO EXCITED!

I LOVE:

ladybugs
carnivals and fairs
fireworks
Orchids and Stargazer lilies
family traditions
PIZZA! (I guess food generally...)
anything related to my alma mater
sweat clothes
autumn - especially the beautiful leaves!
old friends
chocolate martinis
cute old couples
dads with their kids
fishing
funnel cake
snowboarding

etc...

I get a bit obsessed with politics during election years. I appreciate good book recommendations. I like to try new things, but I have a hopelessly pitiful attention span. I am a middle child, a virgo, but not at all a perfectionist. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day! Mmmmm. I don't eat red meat or pork, I stopped when I was 18, for no particular reason, and then it stuck.
28.gif
I talk on the phone WAAAAY too much. I love tv shows about kids and families, like Adoption Stories, Shaq's Big Challenge, and Supernanny! I love Public Television and NPR. I listen to NPR constantly!

I am not very traditional. I love trillions, and think RBs are super boring (though I have seen LOVELY ones here on PS!) Thanks to PS, I am now obsessed with step cuts, and am dying for an EC sapphire ring, or an asscher RHR. (someday...) Apparently I am into geometric lines... and I don't like soft/roundish shapes. *shrugs* I hate the idea of having a wedding, but I would love to have a big public or family-involved engagement! I think weddings and vows are very personal, and plan to elope. I am hopelessly concerned with the welfare of children, but I don't want any kids. I grew up in Baptist church, and my dad is a deacon. I realized that I didn't believe what I was being taught when I was about 16 yrs old. I stopped taking communion, and learned to become comfortable as an agnostic. (I don't think you can any more prove a god exists than disprove it) That being said, I respect and acknowledge the importance and centrality of religion in the lives of others, and I love learning about different religions, and attending worship services when invited. I try to be openminded, and PS exposes me to a lot of viewpoints unfamiliar to me. I welcome the challenge :)

I have lived in MD, KS, CA and NC, but I am not from a military family
2.gif
I would love to live abroad for a few years................

I also chronically overuse smilies. Bad habit, but they are sooooo cute!

Enough of my rambling... ask anything you want to know
9.gif

Hi Trillionaire! First just allow me to say how much I enjoy having you on this board. I share a lot of commonalities with you. First - I am constantly asking for book recommendations! And second - I''m an ex-Baptist.

Is there a thread for people to recommend books? If not, we should start one.

Anyway, I want to recommend a book for you, but I don''t have time to tell you about it now. I''m off to volunteer at a school. When I come back maybe I''ll look for or start a book recommendation thread.

Hi trillionaire!
35.gif
So of all the places you''ve lived, which has been your favorite and why?

Ah, it was great reading about you! I love fireworks too; where was the best firework show you saw? I love Trillions too, but then again I am biased!! hehe
What do you like to eat for breakfast? I loved breakfast as a kid because my parents made bacon and pancakes on the weekends!
3.gif

Let's see...

Of the places that I have lived, I still have a major soft spot for Maryland, in the Towson area (Baltimore County). I had such a fantastic childhood running around the neighborhood, rollerblading, biking, exploring creeks and streams, going to the local pool, having lemonade and cotton candy stands... it was THE BEST CHILDHOOD! My best friend's family still lives behind our old house, and I love going back and reliving the memories
9.gif
. I took SO to MD to visit, and we went rafting in a stream with my BFF's family. It was incredible, I felt like such a kid again! I still miss my college friends in Los Angeles, though, and the perfect weather. I do NOT miss the L.A. cost of living.
5.gif

My most memorable fireworks were in KS with my sister... once again, more because it was our tradition, and not because the fireworks were amazing. The Fantasia ones at Disneyland were pretty fun too, and it was an early date with SO
30.gif
, so it was really cute. I was laying with my head on his stomach, and he was laying on his back, watching the fireworks. I was hoping he would kiss me, at Disney, but he didn't.
15.gif
(as an aside, I consider myself socially liberal, but personally 'conservative'. I was always the "prude" friend. I have only dated two men, one at 18, and one from 20- now, and I have only kissed the same two men. SO is also pretty 'conservative' personally, and I was his first GF, and he was 21! At any rate, between the two of us being "prudey", we didn't have our first kiss for SIX MONTHS!!!
23.gif
) hahahahahaha....

As far as breakfast, SO makes fantastic omelettes, so that is at the top of the list. I really love turkey sausage and turkey bacon (the thick cut kind that looks like real meat, not the kind that looks like shaped meat paper
38.gif
. Mmmmm and Cinnamon rolls! I think every breakfast should include mimosas with mango-orange juice.
30.gif

A book recommended to me yesterday was "The Brief Wonderous Life of Oscar Wao"

Oh wow! 6 months! Well worth the wait though, I bet!
2.gif
I actually have a friend and her now husband, who waited until their wedding day for their first kiss together. He was very conservative, and she had a baby as a teen in high school, and decided that she wanted to change her lifestyle and become more personally conservative. I''ve never met a more devoted couple.

As far as Trillions, I have never seen anyone IRL that had a trillion ring, and I love the idea of having a unique conversation piece ring! It doesn''t hurt that they face up large too! Even though I like trillions, I tend to like simplicity, so no super busy jewelry for me. I have a preference for classic looks, like solitaires.

Let''s see, more about me... I have curly unruly hair! I had a relaxer until I was 18, then I cut off all my hair, and it grew back a curly mess. And I love it. I straighten my hair probably once a year, and I miss my curls every time.

I LOVE wineries... I would like to own one someday. I love wine, though I don''t think I know anything about it. I should take a class. I love whites, which proves that I have no wine sense. (lol) SO is into champagnes now, but he was into reds before. I am not a wine snob, however, and I am quite fine with 2 Buck Chuck from Trader Joe''s. (BTW, LOVE TJ''s!!!)

Favorite movies:
Saving Private Ryan
The Color Purple
The Shawshank Redemption
Spanglish
Sideways
City of God

I really like Independet Films...

And I still get butterflies to this day, 5 yrs later

Awwww!!!! That''s so romantic! So on the subject, tell us about your first kiss with your so.....where were you? Was it a romantic setting, or just out of the blue?

LOL! We were in bed
12.gif
. We had gotten back from a semi-formal, and it was going to be another night of snuggling, but I had made up my mind that this night was going to be THE night (kiss-wise that is). I asked him something about kisses, and he starts giving me some excuse about how he didn''t want our first kiss to be in bed because he thought it would communicate the wrong message, etc. I feigned huffiness and rolled away from him, and he pulled me back close and kissed me. LOL, I''m all smiley over here just thinking about it! He hadn''t really kissed anyone before, so I think he was just really nervous and was putting too much pressure on himself about staging this perfect first kiss, but you know, it''s all about the person, not the place and setting. We would kiss and kiss for hours, sometimes until the sun came up! And we were laughing and giggling like teenagers... my roommates must have thought we were crazy wild, but we really weren''t up to anything. I even ended up with a hickey on my lip once! HAHA! Oh man.... memories! Sorry if that was TMI, lol.

My closest GF asked if he hit me, because she was going to kill him. (they were good frinds too, FWIW) I was soooo embarassed, I didn''t want to say what happened. First and only hickey, thank god!

Lol! I''d be sooo embarassed. It was bad enough in high school having to wear turtle necks when it was 60something degrees outside!

Let''s see, how did I end up on PS...

I was searching something on diamonds, and the risks of buying online. I saw a video that mentioned the site, so I looked it up. I don''t think I really "got" the site, but I bookmarked it. A month later, I was trying to figure out which of the 4c''s was most important, and up came PS again. So wandered into the forums, and had fun reading cute stories about people, so I joined and I posted. I already knew I loved trillions, but I also liked starset/kiteset princess diamonds. The more I hung out, the more addicted I became, and I was BLOWN AWAY by how diverse rings can look! I honestly thought everyone got either princess or round diamonds, as a solitaire or 3 stone rings. Occasionally, a marquise cut. I really had no idea that there were so many cuts and styles. Then I hit a crossroads with my relationship (SO got a promotion and a raise right when he was supposed to be moving here) and I was completely at a loss for what to do. I got a lot of interesting responses to that situation, but it helped me sort my thoughts in a way that I couldn''t do with friends or family. Then I went marriage crazy for the first time in my life, and started dreaming of and planning my wedding! (an elopement, but a wedding nonetheless) Then I was obsessing with rings, and everything was happening so fast, and SO bought one (but he doesn''t know I know, men just aren''t good a hiding their tracks)... but now that all seems so long ago, so I wait, sometimes happily, sometimes crankily... Now I spend my days in the ATW forums mostly... but that''s how I arrived at PS.

I''m loving reading your thread! You are too funny! Such a cute couple as well!!

SO EXCITED!!! SO and I are going to see Maxwell in concert tonight! (anniversary present!)

A link to one of his videos...

Wow, I haven''t been to a concert since Johnny Lang 2 years ago! I am so excited, he (Max) is one of my favorite artists, and he has been off the scene for almost 5 years now! OMG!!!! EEEK!
36.gif

Oh wow! I have really enjoyed reading your thread trillionaire! Your story is fantastic reading. And I also enjoy your posts elsewhere on PS which is why I peeked into this one. You didn't disappoint.

Have fun @ the Maxwell concert tonight! How long has he been away now....nearly 10 years???? I can remember seeing him in concert back in 1997. In any case, I hope the show is great!! I am going to see him on Wednesday night so we'll have to compare notes.

ETA: Has it been only 5 years? Wow, I thought Maxwell had been "off the road" for longer than that.

onedrop, thanks! You are so sweet!

The Maxwell concert was SO MUCH FUN!!! We really enjoyed ourselves! It was our first concert together, and it was really a great experience for us both! I was a bit anxious that SO wouldn''t enjoy himself, but Maxwell was very energetic and animated, such a great performer! I was really impressed, and the ladies were going WILD! Lol. It was a fun concert, and I''m really glad we got to so. I really want to see Anthony Hamilton and John Legend Locally, but I don''t think it''s in the cards... Too close to X-mas and I am broke!!! LOL!

you are welcome trillionaire!

So you enjoyed Maxwell, huh? I did as well! He really has not lost much performance-wise since he toured the last time around. I thoroughly, thoroughly enjoyed the show and was digging the songs from the new album. The ladies weren''t as crazy as I''d heard they were at previous shows, although there were some panties handed to him.
6.gif

I haven''t seen either Anthony Hamilton or John Legend live, but I love both of them! You never know, maybe you''ll get to see them when they come to your town.

I love this thread. I just found this part of Pricescope.. I''ve been blinded by the sparklie side. Seems we like the same kind of music. I am a HUGE Anthony Hamilton fan!!! I would LOVE to see him in concert! LUCKY YOU! I''ve been waiting for you to get that diamond because I''ve only seen two people in my lifetime with a trillion center stone. ONe was GINORMOUS and very well cut, the other one was also a nice size, but didn''t sparkle much..

Hey Trill,

Ive only just found this part of the forum after trolling around rocky talk ( Im obsesed) and I thought I''d add that I too really enjoy reading your posts!!!

16.gif

I love me some Maxwell too. Can''t you just listen to "Now" over and over again?

Yoo hoo, trillionaire...where are you?
