It's here! He went ahead and mailed it before he got my return! Surprising but nice.

I think I love it! It will def hold my stone, maybe with both inner and outer bezels...

It's a little tighter than he said - measures a 5.75 on my ring sizer and the shank is very flat so it feels even tighter. Right now I have pregnancy fingers and they are too fat for this size but if I lose the weight etc. it should fit next fall or winter. I'd size it up but don't want to mess up the engraving!

Having a bit of nostalgia about my old setting. The thin plat orange blossom band that goes perfectly with it does not go well with the new setting. Actually not sure what kind of band goes with it! Perhaps a flatter wider band than I have!

outer bezel width is 9.08mm
height off finger is 5.83mm
width of inner bezel/plate is 6.89mm. my diamond measures between 6.8 and 7 depending...

Diamond is with Ari at Singlestone!!! So nervous and excited. He has the new old setting and said the whole plate will have to come out, as the diamond is too big for any airline type of double bezel. So, it will be set just like DreamerD's ring, which doesn't disappoint me at all!

It will have eight prongs, and be resized up a tad so I can wear it now, and not have to wait until I lose the weight I've gained so far in this pregnancy. I was going to wait and not resize, as I know it will fit down the road, but it's no fun to get your diamond reset and not be able to wear it!

Anyway, just wanted to share my excitement! I've never ever sent something across the country to be worked on!

Ok, update if anyone's reading... Diamond is too big for plate/airline, too small to just remove the plate and prong set like DreamerD's. so like someone suggested, Ari is going to add an octagonal "sleeve" just inside the outer bezel if I understand correctly, and bead set instead of prong set.

Also, any opinions on a vintage platinum eternity to go with?

Lucy I missed this the first time! It looks really great and I can't wait to see what it looks like once its set. The mount does look like it is very similar to mine but there ware many subtle differences, like the curls under the cathedral on my ring and the way the shank meets the head. Can't wait to see it done!!
