One of my favorite NS songs! He‘s an incredible songwriter and from what I’ve heard still puts on a great live show in his 80’s!
Icehouse with John Oates! (Not a great recording, but still cool):
@1ofakind What type? I don’t get it, lol.
Oh he’s checking out some booty at 2:30. Neil...you dirty rascal, lol.
HI:
I'll be the only person here who dislikes the Eagles. Hotel California = Nausea.
That's it!
cheers--Sharon

ah good times
So many of the great artists and bands listed really bring me back...
My faves in no particular order:
Bob Seger (ok, he’s my fave, awesome concerts)
Billy Joel (best in concert!)
Pink Floyd (crazy college days)
The Who (saw their not-so-‘last’ concert at Shea stadium NYC)
Funny, our favorite SiriusXM channels are the 70’s classic rock stations.
Depeche Mode. Have been 30 years and yet still, some of their songs bring me tears to my eyes...
Great topic! Live music is one of my favorite things and I'm missing it terribly. My last live show was the Eagles with a full orchestra in Atlanta in January, which was my gift to DH for Christmas. I have seen SO MANY of the bands/artists mentioned by PP (most more than once)! Primus, Black Sabbath, Bee Gees, Def Lep, Bruce, the Stones, Billy Joel, Lionel Richie, NIN, Quiet Riot, Cheap Trick (@Karl_K , dare I suggest the most underrated US Rock Band ever?!?). We hit local live shows all the time and often plan our travel around concerts (at least we used to), despite having different taste in music. I’ve been to more Jimmy Buffett shows than I care to admit thanks to him, but at least they are fun. My taste leans towards rock/metal/punk/alternative, so most of “my shows” are bands that the general population is not familiar with. But my absolute favorite band of all time is Poison. I’ve seen them 50 times in 8 states and have met them all many times. They are the band of my youth, what can I say
. I have tickets for 6 Stadium Tour shows this summer...now rescheduled for next year
(fingers crossed the new dates work for me). A newer band that I am digging these days is The Struts out of England, who I was supposed to see tomorrow night
. The lack of live music and travel will probably kill me before COVID
.
