CEE2455F-76D9-41A4-B0C0-0D3B56F24D29.jpeg My husband has decided to name my ring “Wilma”.
He said it reminds him of the Flintstone episode where Barney buys the ring for Betty but Wilma finds it and thinks it’s hers !
:lol::lol:

I think the question should be what Pricescoper hasn't named their ring
Would love it if others chimed in because that other thread didn't have that many replies and we have added some new PS members and new PS bling to the PS family...

Meet Bea. Named after my dear grandmother Beatrice (who everyone called Bea) whom I miss so much. She died in 1992 and her ring was the beginning of my love affair with old cuts.
Here is my Bea with my grandmother's photo. The photo on the left is 4 generations. My great grandmother, my grandmother, my mother and me. The photo is fading fast just like the years flying by.

ME! No names for me! Oh that right, cuz I don't have one!:x2

I think of it as naming diamonds, as BEA for example, wouild still be BEA in another settting.
It helps me if others name their diamonds. I will long remember who belongs to whom if there is a name attached.
I don’t think “Mildred” every time I look at my ring, but for ease and clarity’s sake, I can use the name Mildred with other PSers rather than give a long ID like ...2.14, G, etc... And even then most people won’t know which ring I’m referring to!

[may I please change my PS name to “My Two Cents”?!]

Me too. I think of it as naming the diamond. Because the setting can always change.

I don’t have a name for my diamond. I’m not sure what would be a good name.

I have named many. There was a heart diamond ring I created that I named Liberty. I loved the ring. I reluctantly sold it to my best friend because she loved it to be her engagement ring. Well, I believe in names being meaningful because she is divorced today.

I mainly name my favorite diamonds, whether they are in a ring or pendant. I have a very exciting name for my favorite ring now because she is called "Engagement ring", ok so very creative right? But not many would know how much this name means to me and why I chose the name.

I guess I am sentimental, romantic maybe a bit too much. My company I had to name after my favorite cat who died and because her name meant star it meant several different things like she was a star, diamonds are for stars and now she is living among the stars in heaven.

I just do not know what will happen when her momma passes away, which I cannot imagine as they were so similar and now her momma having lived double the age of her daughter really took the place of my most special cat in my heart but somewhere they all are.

I tend to name diamonds based on who owned them before.
I have "Frank's Diamond", "Jim's Diamond" (also known as "the VVS"), and "Mrs. Benard's diamond studs".

I love that this question is being revived!

@missy @ac117 Bea and Stellla are Beautiful! Thanks for sharing!

"Ava" (for my 5ct AVC)--she's got an old world glamour and classic beauty to her, just like the Hollywood actress Ava Gardner.

Here is Symphonie containing a 2.79 F-VS1 CBI diamond and Trilogie containing 3 CBI diamonds :
2.21 F-SI1 (cut to order in 2014)
.53 F-VS1
.53 F-VS2
The two side stones are within .01mm of each other and have the same Crown and pavilion angles

Here is a photo of the 2.79 diamond taken by John Pollard. Look at that dispersion that he captured in natural lighting

I agree! Mine keep their names when they get reset. I picture the stone as sentient beings, and their settings as their gowns/outfits. I swear stones have personalities.
