Who are ya'll sending your stones to get set to nowadays?
I still have to get a lovely star sapphire set and had wanted it to go into the Daniel M. U-prong setting. Yes, I know stars are often bezeled. While I love the look, I'm just afraid of compromising the light it receives. Any suggest on who takes outside stones? Some of Sally's settings, while gorgeous, I'm not sometimes feeling too much - sometimes (repeat - sometimes) too high & sometimes look like they would be a ring that would spin. (No one get mad & in a tizzy, please. JMO.) Any suggestions on someone to set it (with reasonable prices)?
Now, to contradict myself a bit. I rather like this crown lace bezel. Would it allow a bit more light through than a regular bezel?

Would it be too busy & take away from the star? Yes, I know this is a stock setting and star sapphires can be tricky as they are deep.
Thanks!!!!
