Hello all.

Finally got my earrings from Whiteflash the other day. They were absolutely beautiful, and my girlfriend was totally blown away!! Also, Lesley and Brian were a pleasure to work with. I actually visited them at the Whiteflash office to pick up the earrings. Brian spent about 90 minutes with me....going over light return, cut criteria, and other basic diamond knowledge. He was extremely patient, and I thoroughly enjoy my 90 minutes of diamond education!!

So, figured I would take a few pictures of the earrings for everyone to see. Spent some time the other day with my digital camera...just couldn''t seem to get the pic i wanted. What is the best way to photograph earrings? Is there some secret to the beautiful pics I''ve seen on this site???

Thanks,

Steven G.

Hi Steve,

Diamonds photograph well in diffused sunlight. Like in front of a window, but not with the sun actually streaming on them (although that WILL get some nice fire shots

). House lighting rarely does them any favors. Try experimenting, but just take a few at a time, look, see what''s working, or not, and go from there.

Also, windowsills will often produce awesome arrow shots, if the sun again, isn''t actually hitting the diamond.

HTH! And can''t wait to see them!

Did you end up getting the G SI''s or the H VS2''s?

I''m sure either pair will be beautiful, but now that I have my H VS2s (which I love) I definitely thinking if I ever upgrade doing the G SI''s, as it can gain a little extra size which is more noticeable than the clarity difference.

Looking forward to the pictures!
