My beautiful ACA ring met its tragic demise when it fell into a blender and I inadvertently made the world’s most expensive smoothie. I was in shock and the only saving grace was that the stone was insured for the exact amount I paid.

It is an understatement to say that Whiteflash took care of me. They took a jewelry nightmare and transformed it into a happy ending. Brittany (my ride-or-die/true blue/peanut butter to my jelly lady through this crazy diamond journey), Vera, Liza, Bryan, Leon, Kate, Marcela, Alicia and the rest of the Whiteflash Team who work long hours to make clients’ dreams come true: THANK YOU. My goodness! I've heard of garbage disposal disasters, but this is the first time I've heard of a diamond in a blender! I am really curious about the condition of the diamond after coming out of that!

Thank you, @headlight and @diamondseeker2006! I was in such shock that I couldn’t even share the story until the situation was resolved.

Super grateful for my husband who generously covered the out of pocket replacement costs that allowed me to get a 2.9 ACA. I had several replacement options from which to choose and knew that this 2.9 K VS2 had my name on it with its chunky arrows and awesome spread. Whiteflash even sent me a K color ACA for inspection before I made my final decision and agreed that this stone stood out from the pack. So to any folks out there who are interested in lower colors, know that you can absolutely rock a well cut ~3 carat K stone AND set it in white metal. I followed my gut and think it’s beautiful.

Lol thanks, @Alex T. It was truly a freak accident as I don’t even recall wearing my ring that day. To think my toddler was thisclose to drinking the smoothie - shards and all - had I not decided to wash the pitcher right away and discovered the metal. I don’t even want to think about what would have happened.

Life is full of close calls! Just grateful everything worked out in the end!

I winced when I read a blender How on earth did that happen?! Holy crap!
But on an awesome note, your ring is just absolutely divine! Perfection! My FDIL has an ACA. I think I may need to jump on this bandwagon!

Hi @Crazie4Cuts, the ring is a hybrid of my white gold knife edge shank and Whiteflash’s six prong Elegant head setting with tabbed prongs. I love the swoopy head!

I do see tint/warmth from the side but it doesn’t bother me enough to exchange for a smaller, whiter diamond. I’m thrilled with how white it appears face up and I love the size too much! To my eyes, the white gold and platinum also help make the ring as a whole appear white.

I was praying the ring wouldn’t be a hot tinted mess when I received it and was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box and saw this!
