I never thought the search for the engagement diamond could be so difficult..... The question is, is there a very big difference between these three vendors? I look for my 1 ct. (from Germany) and want a nice diamond and reliable vendor. These 3 vendors all look great to me .... is there something to consider? is there one topping them? (price-quality?)

thanks,

Christian

Three top notch vendors with stellar reputations! Can't miss with any one. White Flash cuts their own H&A, ACA line. Nice Ice and GOG hand select their H&A's for quality. Even though they are competitors, all 3 hold each other in very high regard.

Basically, you need to compare refund/return/upgrade policies. Chat/email with each one. None of these vendors will pressure you to buy from them. All 3 will give you expert information so you make an informed buying decision. You just have to choose the vendor you are most comfortable with.

Hi Christian,
If you need another reliable vendor, do try barry of superbcert.

All three are great vendors. It might just come down to who's holding the diamond you want.

I have purchased stones from all 3 vendors. Excellent service from all 3. Personally like all the comprehensive data Jonathan @ GoodOldGold.com offers..

I would choose Goodoldgold as they offer lots of data on the stone and Jonathan seems very well educated on cut and light return as well. I do think though that all four vendors mentioned in this thread would do an ace job. It just depends on your choice, you eventually have to choose one even if it is a toss of the coin only which does it. I think as said previously who holds the diamond you want may also sway the decision although they would all be able to search for a particular diamond for you.

The 3 vendors you mentioned have a great rep here. I would also keep an open mind to other vendors both online and with local B&M's. Good Luck!

I just purchased a beautiful ring from Whiteflash and had a great experience with them. I dealt with Lesley, and she was very informative both via e-mail and on the phone.

To make things even better, I popped the question this last Friday (She said YES!!!) and her reaction on seeing the ring was "Oh Sh*t!"

The independent appraisal ended up being for just about twice what I paid for the ring, so I konw that I did well!

Good Luck!

You can't go wrong with any of three the vendors. They all have exceptional quality diamonds so it will come down to which one has the diamond that you are seeking (in terms of size, price, and quality).

Since you are in Germany, you should probably contact all three to see which vendor can best accommodate you in terms of getting the information that you require to make an informed decision.

I highly recommend Good Old Gold. I had a very good experience working with them and you just can't beat all of the information they provide for an online purchase, both educational and for the individual stones. They were extremely helpful in finding an incredible stone for me in a short time frame.
Jonathan clearly puts a lot of effort into satisfying the needs of the online customer, and I am very happy that I chose to work with him. Besides, I couldn't help but support the guy that taught me more from his website than all of the rest combined!

From all the reviews and posts I've read, you can't go wrong with all three...or four...including Jan & Brad at DBOF. But I got mine from Jonathan at GoG and am EXTREMELY happy with the product and service.
