Well, it has been two months now since I proposed and I just wanted to share my thoughts now and some of the commentary I have recieved on the Whiteflash newline ACA diamond.
To start with, I purchased a 1.172 newline ACA diamond with diamonds along the side of the ring. We have started shopping around and looking at wedding rings and we have walked into several Tiffany''s stores as well as a few Birk''s (Tiffany equivalent here in Canada). So far, 50% of the stones I have seen at these stores clearly do not perform as well as my ACA, and I''d say the other half perform less to about equal when comparing them side by side... but I can''t say I''ve seen one that performs better.
Everyone at my Fiance''s work still comments on her ring and a lot of her clients still grab her and pull her into offices to show people... "this is the ring I was talking about". I seriously just can''t say enough good things about the diamond.
It performs amazing in ALL lighting conditions... fluorescent lighting, sunlight (no it is not dark under the table at all), cloudy days, etc. It clearly performs the best indoors under any kind of faint or bright pot lights! It also sparkes a tonne in dark settings... and I still can''t figure out where it picks up so much light to sparkle with when it is so dark.
We even had one lady at a Birk''s grab my fiance, complement her on her ring, and ask to see her diamond under a microscope... and she kept saying how beautiful it was.
The latest complement... we were at a gala dinner with a number of my Fiance''s clients this past weekend... directors, vice presidents, national sales managers, etc... and one of the ladies came up to my fiance and asked to see her ring. She said "I''ve wanted to take a closer look all night... boy it is really out there... I could see it from a mile away".
Anyhow, my whole point of ranting and raving about Whiteflash ACA is... when I was ring shopping, and you could certainly ask the people I worked with at Whiteflash (Renee thanks for your patience), I found it very hard to buy a diamond online. I wanted exceptionaly cut, but didn''t want to pay the Tiffany prices. After months of research, I felt Whiteflash was my best bet to get something of excellent quality sight unseen. I was crunching numbers, I knew everything there was to know about angles... I was so particular in what I wanted... but honestly, at the end of the day, I am certain you can''t go wrong with any ACA branded diamond.
So, for all those guys trying to find that perfect diamond that will hopefully last "forever", I can only tell you, you DEFINITELY can''t go wrong with an ACA. It has by far and away surpassed my highest of highest expectations. The compliments are almost too much... the only negative is that I think I have caused some problems for some friends wives who have told my fiance that they didn''t like their ring/diamond and were planning on upgrading it in the near future
.
Good Luck Everyone and enjoy the whole experience!
For anyone that might want to compare, here is my ACA diamond:
