Hi All!

I've been a lurker while I searched for diamond information and the information posted on here has been great, so thanks for all of your knowledge Pricescope members. :appl: My question is this: I finally decided to go with Whiteflash because of their pricing, great service and access to pictures of the actual diamond. I had problems getting this information (Aset, Sarin, actual pictures, etc.) from B2C and Bluenile. I chose this diamond from Whiteflash (Victoria is awesome BTW!), went in person and it is BEAUTIFUL. It is an SI1, I, AGS Ideal 0 h&a but you cannot see the inclusions at all. I couldn't even see the inclusions with a loupe. It is extremely blingy; the Aset, idealscope and diamond look good (to me); and the diamond faces up like a 1 carat. I ran the HCA and it came out as ideal. I love it and the settings are of a really high quality. Unfortunately, I showed my guy the information and his "friend" (a supposed diamond expert) told him that we are overpaying for h&a diamonds. I wasn't even planning on h&a but this came up in our budget and now I get what people were talking about. BTW, I the girl have done all of the information gathering and such because I'm the picky type that that takes months to research lol. Please let me know what you think keeping this in mind: we are on a tight budget and wanted to stay under $3500 for the diamond. Also, I am the an-l type that wants quality and not just quantity. Am I overpaying? Now I'm doubting myself. I think that I'm getting a great deal mysef but hopefully you more knowledgeable members can help straighten this issue out. Help!

the diamond looks great. To be honest, most untrained people can't tell the difference between a H&A diamond with a well cut AGS triple 0 diamond. If you are looking for quality, this is quality at its best. price wise, it is pretty difficult to find a similar stone going for significantly less.

I absolutely am one who wants quality for an engagement ring, or for any diamond I buy. If I am spending thousands of dollars, I certainly want quality. My diamonds are all from WhiteFlash and Good Old Gold.

You've chosen a great stone, and I would make sure your guy listens to YOU and not his friend when buying your ring!!!

Thanks so much for you reply and I appreciate the help. You're absolutely right, I could only see the hearts and arrows under the scope but it was a boon to get it for the same price as the other options in my price range.

Thanks diamondseeker, I'm glad you guys agree. I went back and checked out the Sarin, HCA, Aset, certificate and everything else on this diamond. Add the fact that I love this diamond and I'm sticking to my guns. I'll show him your posts as well hee hee.

Thanks for all of your help! I actually did end up buying that diamond and received my pics of the ring. Just waiting on them to ship it to me. Check out my picks (sqwee) It's an ACA from WF but for some reason the arrows aren't showing on the pic.

Thanks for all of your help @diamondseeker! Here are more pics of what I chose. I do wear a size 8 so I hope to upgrade in a year or so but it's just gorgeous in person. Can't wait to receive it. I'm going to post a pic with it on when I receive it because I noticed a lot of ladies (and men) wanting to know what the sizes .8 and .9 look like on a larger size hand. It was really hard to get that info.

One more pic - I think this is called the "glamour shot" with the requisite flower lol.
