Whiteflash Discount Confusion

Hey Guys,

This is just a quick couple of questions about the discount available on Whiteflash....

I am most likely buying from them within the next couple of months, and I am in Australia which means I automatically must be paying by wire transfer which according to the site saves me 3% on the total price of the ring.....

I have read on various topics here that they sometimes offer a PS membership discount, but contrasting information has confused me (which I admit is probably easy to do)

- It can be dependent on the stone type (ACA etc.)
- It is not always applicable
- It cannot be used with a Wire Transfer discount (i.e. either wire transfer discount or PS)
- It is a 3% dscount off the stone
- It is a 2% discount off the entire total

Has anyone (recently) been in a similar situation (i.e. paying wire and PS member) with whiteflash that might be able to shed some light (and clarity) on the issue for me?

THANKS IN ADVANCE :twirl: :twirl: :twirl: :appl: :twirl:

Um. Whiteflash would be the best source to advise you. They are friendly and you can just shoot them an email or give them a call. For inquiries like these it is ALWAYS best to just talk to the vendor directly. :wavey:

Not only that, but the prices are easily accessible right on the site. It shows the Pricescope price and then the lowest price with PS discount with wire payment.

Try accessing your stone from here:

https://www.pricescope.com/diamond-search-results

They also have a $75 for the first time you order if you register on their site.

I remember reading a thread that the PS wire price IS the lowest they'll offer, so the PS wire price is generally lower than the original wire price... but you can't combine the two discounts or something like that.

So if someone happens to find the Whiteflash website without being a PS'er, do they still see that range of prices? I wonder if that confuses them... and if they come here and join PS do they then get the discount, even if they haven't been a member here before?

Hi,

I just bought my diamond from WF
with regards to discount you can take the face value of the diamond and take 5% off. (3% for wire and 2% for pricescope)
You can also get an additional 75$

I asked them to make a custom ring and as with everything prices are negociable.

Hope this helps

Yeah, you only see a price and then a wire price. I can only see the PS discount after I log into PS and then get into WF. Otherwise, I won't see the PS discount or the PS Wire discount.

Ah, I see. That makes more sense :))

Yep, it's 5% total.

Maisie...when I search using the link I posted above and then click on a WF stone, it shows me all three prices.

I actually found PS this way. I had never heard of PS but I was working with JA and they quoted me a price and then told me that I would also receive my PS discount of xx. I was curious so I did a search and signed up. =)

JA lists their prices on the website the same as WF. If I'm logged into PS I will see the PS wire price, but if I'm not, I see what everyone else would see.

Thanks for all the help guys! :appl: :appl: :appl: :appl:

I think it was a little confusing because I was logged into Pricescope at the time I was looking on the whiteflash website but it still was not showing.

Either way I will be sorting out the exacts of what we will be ordering very soon and most likely be emailing to organize the stone (as it will most likely be one of their virtual selection stones anyway) and can verify the discount we would be eligible for then.

From all the positive experiences and reviews that I have read here on PS and on other areas of the web, I doubt (hopefully) that they will be anything less than helpful when trying to purchase, plus we have a few other hurdles (i.e. getting the ring under the AUS-US free trade agreement-AUSFTA and organizing payment via wire transfer) which may be a little more time-consuming than a discount inquiry! :cheeky:

I just want to make sure I have as much information and knowledge about the buying process with them as it is quite a large purchase, especially for being so far away!!! :errrr:

But I definitely will be grabbing the fantastic help of you guys when it comes to the stone!!!!! Decisions decisions........

Thanks again!

If you want to buy from WhiteFlash, I recommend their ACA, Expert Selection, and Premium Select stones, which are their in-house stones which they have cut. If you want a virtual stone, it is better to use a NY jeweler because often they can just pick up the stones from a diamond supplier and the diamond can end up costing less in the end because they aren't having to ship stones back and forth. I have bought from WF many times with complete satisfaction, but the reason I buy from them is because they have excellent in-house diamonds. I think the discounts will be less on virtual stones.

Thanks for that Diamondseeker2006,

Believe me it would be fantastic if we could pick up one of their ACA, Expert Selection, or Premium Select stones but I just do not think it will be in our budget (this time ;))

I think for what we are looking at price wise and the specs we want in the princess cut a virtual is one of the only ways it will happen.....Especially because I am in LOVE with the petite cathedral pave setting and (although) we both work we are both still at uni which makes the costs of other things a little more imperative (i.e. books, computers, you know.... boring things like that)

Plus we werent really hung up on the stones specifics mainly we want to make sure that it is a nice looking stone that will complete the look of the ring so we can show it off (Kidding on that last little bit :cheeky: ).

Though we definately wont be buying without some without deeply knowledged individuals like most people on this forum!

Thanks again! :D :D :D
