I have been in contact with Whiteflash for the past few weeks. Inventory was low and there were no diamonds that met my criteria - approximately 1.8ctw,H/VS quality, eye clean, no dark inclusions, etc. Some new inventory came in this week and these two diamonds have been reserved for me. Opinions are much appreciated. I am a wondering about the VS1 diamond. On the ASET image, there seems to be some green by the arrow shafts, especially between 7 o'clock and 8 o'clock but since this is ACA, maybe I am being too picky.

I have no comment other than to say I have also felt inventory at a few stores has been slim pickings lately.

I'm very confused by this. I thought that inventory would be high around just before Christmas and Valentine's Day.

The ACA stones are vetted for you so I would have no reservations about them. However, I found the Whiteflash staff to be very forthcoming with information about their stones. I would ask your specific question of them to see what they say. I would probably assume that your fears about the one stone is unfounded but it never hurts to ask.

I think you've made a great choice in a great size for a beautiful pair of diamond studs!

Inventory has been very low by my reckoning as well. Wonder if there has been a rough supply issue to the cutting houses.

Just looking at the BGD inventory list, they have lots of "inventory" in their BG Advance Selection but those they have in-house seem to be lacking in quantity at this point in time.Have also noticed that the new inventory is more expensive as well (lucky I picked out my pair of stones for studs at the beginning of January 2017, because if I had waited, I would've been able to get lesser ctw, similar colour and lower clarity but have to fork out an additional USD$300 on a pair of stones from the BG Advance Selection range.

The pair there look pretty good. Given that you are planning on using these for studs, I wouldn't worry too much about the little bit of lesser light return in the 0.901 that they reserved for you. Both of them should perform very nicely (plenty bright enough!) in whatever stud setting you are looking at getting!

Thanks bmfang. I am very picky and whether I'm using them as a ring or studs, I want beautiful light return( and an excellent, transparent upgrade policy), especially since this is why I am going with WF in the first place. On the other hand, I'm not knowledgeable enough to know if this little bit of leakage will have a visible impact on the diamond's performance.

The ASET for the 0.901 doesn't show leakage per se in the green areas that you are worried about; it's lesser light return only. Once these are set, I wouldn't expect them to perform anything less than as expected (i.e. with the typical brilliance, fire and scintillation that WF's ACA range are renowned for).

If you still have concerns about it, have a chat with the WF consultant you've been dealing with.

I have spoken to my consultant who assures me that light performance is excellent. My dealings with WF has been nothing but positive.

Sorry I missed your post! I see you chose two of them! Great choice! All three were great matches, so you couldn't have gone wrong! :appl:

Thanks! The studs should arrive by February 20th.
