So I finally made my e-ring purchase.
I bought this diamond:

to put into this setting:

I thought it was going to ship Monday like the Traci had told me but who ever does the final orders stated she had it slated for today. I am just really inpatient and want to see the final product. I also want to get the ring in my hands. Still waiting for pictures but Vera the lady who is doing the processing of my order stated its done and at the photographer and I should be getting pictures soon. I am really excited and can''t wait to get the ring.

It took my 2-3 weeks to decide what to buy and now I have to figure out how to propose.

But I do have to say that Traci did a great job helping me as I couldn''t decide. I just hope it made the right decision and got a got ring.

I understand your torture!!! The ETA for shipment on my ring was Monday and I havn''t heard what''s happening. I am totally not in a hurry and have told them that, but now I am getting really excited and can''t keep my mind off it. I just want to see the pics!!

It sounds like they are flat out at the moment, and we just have to be patient! Post pics as soon as you get it!!!

Interesting that Whiteflash does not supply the fedex tracking number. I am assuming its b/c of security purposes?

Blue Nile also did not provide a tracking number when I ordered an e-ring, and said it was for security.

My guess is that the shipper doesn''t want people being able to track exactly which truck a shipment is on, which would give the potential for a truck heist scam.

I just got the ring. It does look good. But when I used the scope to take a closer look at the diamond I see some black dots. Very small but I still see them. Using the cloth isn''t getting it off. Also I am thinking the band is too thin. My GF wanted a larger band.

Does anyone know what is WF policy on having the diamond remounted on another setting?

so I guess its in inclusion that you can see only under magnification. but its still a beauty of a diamond. she will never look at it under magnification so thats okay.

What are people''s suggestions on setting. I think that setting isnt what she is looking for. She stated she wants a thicker band

i''d call WF and tell them and see what they can do to help you

Polo- GORGEOUS ring! You can''t go wrong with an ACA princess.

Yes, I''d certainly ring up WF to see what your options are with changing out the setting. I have their w-prong for my princess stone, and luv it. It''s a bit more "substantial" than the tiffany setting- not sure of the exact band dimensions, though.

I would keep the setting you have. The diamond really stands out in that one, if you go for a thicker band it might not pop so much!

I got an appraisal that came with my ACA princess cut diamond.

How legitimate is that appraisal?

What a beautiful ring I personally love the setting thickness the way it is really makes the diamond POP

Something as well you might need to consider is your FI will most likely like to stack a WB and possibly an EB with her new stunner at some point down the road so she will need to have room on her finger to do so .

I actually love that band! It really makes the stone really pop and stand out. Anything more substantial and the stone might get lost.

Only have 1 thing that is bugging me with the diamond. There is a cloud in the middle of it. You can''t see it with the naked eye but cant with 10x magnification. Would that cloud make the diamond reflect less light?
