Hey everyone,

I''ve been somewhat absent lately, but I''ve been working with WhiteFlash on my custom ring design. I have a photoshop and two renderings here so you can see how we are progressing. First off we tried doing a split-prong with stones and a pave basket photoshop w/ rendering. I didn''t think it turned out as well as I hoped, so we tried a double-U style prong. I think I may still want to try to put some diamonds in the prong on the U''s. Let me know what you think!

OH I LIKE IT! Are you having heart shaped prongs? Like this? I only ask bc the CAD won''t show it and so I was wondering!

I like the first CAD image. The prongs look like petals on a flower opening up to reveal a diamond!

Ditto. I like the first image. How big are the stones in the 2nd one? Both are beautiful.

Hmm, thinking about it your second one looks like JadeLeaves ring; let me see if I can find a pic.

I like the very first image and the third image.

Would do the diamonds with the U prong if you go that route but the prettiest is the first picture IMO.

I like the last image best - u-prongs and double claws are my absolute favorites :)

I like the first CAD. It really does look like a flower!

A bit of confusion I think. The first & second images are the same. The first image is a photoshop, the second is the CAD rendering. The prongs look like petals on a flower because they have to be cast like that, then filed down and diamonds embedded. They would not stay like that.

Hmm. I never even thought of that.

Here is Jadeleaves Mark Morrell; it looks similar and it may be a good ring for inspiration.

Hey Skippy! I know of that ring, and I was in discussion with Mark about it. Unfortunately things didn''t work out as planned to work with him, so I went with the WhiteFlash custom team. I LOVE that ring though!

I actually like the look of it without the diamonds embedded in the prongs.

I think the setting from the original post was perfect. The subsequent ones were nice, but the first is fabulous with the thin thin band, the micropave and the huge stone!

I would find heart shaped prongs cheesy, but that's just me. I would find a heart shaped diamond cheesy too. I DO like the u-prongs!

I think having diamonds in the prongs is a really cool idea, but I really like your later design (the double U-prongs without diamonds in the head). You'll get plenty of sparkle from the shared prong diamonds in the band. The U-prongs in the head match the ones in the band perfectly!

ETA: I would also find heart-shaped prongs somewhat cheesy, but lots of women adore them. Does your lady wear a lot of cute heart motifs in her jewelry and clothes?
