Hello all,
I was considering purchasing the following setting and diamond:
0.75 C Diamond:
http://www.whiteflash.com/hearts_arrows/Whiteflash-ACA-cut-diamond-2175862.htm
Setting:
http://www.whiteflash.com/Engagement-Rings/Styles/Solitaire/Sierra-Solitaire-Engagement-Ring_1415.htm
I have a few questions and concerns:
1) Has anyone seen pictures of this setting with a similar sized stone? I am worried about the prongs being to big the the stone, as the setting is designed to hold a 0.65 to 2 CT diamond. With a lower end stone size, I cant help but think the diamond may not be very proportionate to the setting(and look awkward).
2) Is that a good diamond? I am interested in obtaining optimal cut/fire/shine/sparkle/whatever you want to call it. Or would there be a more optimal stone in a similar size? (at least VS2/G)
I recently posted regarding buying a Tiffany classic ring, but decided I''d give this route an honest shot before proceeding. I very much like Tiffany, mainly due to its setting and proportionality. The setting is very important to me, and I am extremely worried about ordering something that I''ll regret.
Anyways, comments and real pictures of similar rings would be extremely appreciated!
