If money were no object, would you choose a white diamond or a colored one?

coloured!! An orangy/pinky/peachy asscher would satisfy

Once I saw an amazing ascher red diamond on TV. It was breathtaking, but small considering it went for about $500K at an auction.

Other than that, I'd stick with a colorless one. I'm not a fan of yellow diamonds. . .orange ones are pretty, though. . .

Vivid yellow. Someday.....

I'll take 3 ct flawless fancy vivid blue Octavia.
Oh and one in green and another in red please.

DiaGem, would you be nervous cutting the rough?

I prefer coloured stones anyway, so I would go for a coloured diamond (not to say I don't admire the colourless ones too!).

I have always quite liked yellow, orange, champagne or chocolate-coloured diamonds.

I am having this very dilemma, leaning towards yellow.

It is a good dilemma to have!

Do you have a certain project in mind?

Blue diamond! I love them and drool over them all the time! I wish I could afford one, but since I just got my ering, I think I will have to wait a while!

After lurking for months and hearing everyone talking about colourless, I would go BIG and white. That may change, but for now, that is my final answer!

I''ve always chosen white up to now, but I do plan to add a yellow to my collection at some point in the future.

If money was truly no object, I''d want something in every shape, in each colour.

I would die for a natural un-enhanced 2ct pink diamond.

Definitely colored. I''ve considered a yellow diamond for my future upgrade, and I would love some yellow and pink diamond stackers as well.

I''d want a white (colorless) one for my first one. since I already have some of those, though, I''d love to have a pink, if I could afford it. It wouldn''t have to be a big pink, .25 carats would make me happy. But they are so unaffordable, I don''t see it happening.
Ever.
I think if I save for a bit I could get a small yellow one day. Meanwhile, I like looking on DiamondsByLauren--there are some beautiful things on there. There is a vivid yellow asscher ring which is to die for. Only half a million dollars (but if hubby and I get that kind of money, it is going into the retirement account, not on the finger!)

for me - white!!!!!!!!!!!! I like to vary my color so I''ve got a dozen stackers that include sapphire, emeralds, rubies - but I don''t like to be locked into one color - tha''s just me.

I chose yellow.

Buttery yellow for me. Somewhere in the S-X range would be absolutely beautiful to me. I''d also oddly enough want to set it in pink prongs. I saw that on a yellow stone and it was fabulous.

I also would like some small green diamonds framing a nice high color stone. One of my favorite jewelers has some rings like that and they are fabulous.

Someday I really hope to get the buttery yellow though. That has always been a dream of mine :)

Colored! Maybe a vivid deep color like blue, teal, etc.

And if I ever wanted a colorless down the line, I could attempt to sell/ trade in it for a HONKER of a white colorless diamond

Light blue asscher or octavia, no contest. Droooooooool.

Drool.
Killer diamond!!!

You'd think HW would center prongs on facets though.

I know, right? I''d still like to go swimming in that stone.

Colored if it were blue, violet, or green, but otherwise white.
