I’m busy daydreaming about what my next project should be and I’d love to have you guys chime in. I’ve posted each of the gems along with some setting inspiration. So, which one would you choose to set and how would you set it? New ideas are more than welcome.

I love paribas, the color is always mesmerizing. I vote for setting the 3 stone set first!

Even though I think unset paraibas are a travesty (j/k!), I voted for the mahenge spinel which is a big beautiful stunner and will be a showstopper of a ring, and also the orange spess because I don’t seem to recall you having an orange ring. You should post your family photo here so we can analyse the gaps in your collection .

First of all where are the smelling salts when you need them. OMG does not begin to cover it.



Second of all what a difficult decision. But if I had to choose just one for now to set it would probably be the blue zircon just because blue is my favorite color. And I love all your setting ideas @elle_71125. I have said it before and I will say it again you have the most delicious colored gem collection. You put the swoon in swoonworthy.

That is a tough descision! I vote for the spess because it is Fall and because it is the least like the colors which you already have. A spess ring would be a great addition and would be so much fun to wear when you need that orange fire in life.

OMG, you’re right! I was sitting here trying to figure out which ring you were talking about and I actually had to go look at my rings to find the one I was missing. I can’t believe I forgot that gorgeous mint garnet. Guess I’ll have to work on a new hand shot soon.

Changing my mind too! You have a decent number of mahenge spinels actually... and you have a spess too. So I am going to vote for the paraibas 3-stone, it’s quite different from your paraiba halos.

Gaps-analysis *computer sounds*: My analysis is... you are missing cornflower blues... And blue-purple... and pastel pink... and I think you need a nice sunny yellow sapphire!

That mahenge is lovely in person and under the sun it gets so pink! I don't have any orange rings yet. I mean, technically, the spess is in a setting already, but I never wear it because I don't want to damage it before resetting it (that solitaire life isn't for me).

You are too nice! I love that you used a gif from my all time favorite movie...Beauty and the Beast! In all of the millions of times I've watched it, I never noticed that those girls tata's jiggle. Now that's some detailed animation!

I love the way you daydream. This was a tough decision but my vote ultimately goes to the paraiba three-stone. And I say that because it's a three-stone ring and you don't have one. My second vote went to the Mahenge - you know I love that spinel!

My vote goes to the Paraiba three stone. They look too good to keep them lying around just like that. It’s a different style from your existing Paraiba rings and you don’t have that ring style yet.
Second: the zircon. Because it’s big and blue and beautiful.
Will you ask David to create your next project? If not, we will have to vote for jewellers too.

1. Colour you love the most
2. Design you love the most (if you've solidified on one for a specific stone)

Then again, I'm not the best person to ask for a vote because it takes me forever to decide on the setting.

So I decided to go with the paraiba 3 stone ring. Now I need help with CADs. I’ve never done a three stone before and I have no freaking idea what I should be looking out for. Please point out anything that seems off to you.



1. Do you think the shank can go down to a 2mm?
2. The profile seems a little busy to me. I want it to be beautiful but not over the top. Please give me ideas.

Ha, thank you. Lord knows I’m envious of half the PS population’s baubles but there is something extra excruciating about loving something and knowing it’s in your size.

I decided to start a new thread so the CADs didn’t get lost in here. Thank you for the idea. I’m going to try and visualize that now.
