I have a 1 carat oval solitare in a tiffany setting. I am going to have my local jeweler make me an anniversary band for my wedding band that will fit flush against my ring with the use of a shadow band. I am trying to decide if I should put Round or Princess cut diamonds in the band? Which do you think would look best?

Thanks!

Hmm, tough call. I would have to say princess, because in my mind's eye, the rounds just don't look right paired with your oval solitaire.

Have you thought about channel set baguettes? That might be nice, too.

EWE, channel set baguettes aren't nice - in my opinion of course.
That's a tough question, but I think..... princess cut.

I think round stones would look better with your oval solitaire setting. Princess cut has too much corners as opposite to oval and round. But this is my taste

I agree with guslik, Round diamonds would look better with oval diamonds. In my opinion, princess cut diamonds look less sparkly

Of course, this is just my 2 cents

Any Tie Breakers? I like the way that the princess fit together but i also like the sparkle of the rounds.

I think round stones will definitely have a more harmonious and elegant look with an oval. And this is coming from someone partial to princesses...

Round stones complement an oval better. It would look awfully busy if you use princesses.
