Alex, you may have already said this and I didn't want to read back through all the posts, but the prongs on the eternity don't hit the e-ring anywhere where they can scratch it, right? I do like the 3 rings together in any of the combo's, but I'd want to be sure the eternity can't scratch your e-ring setting. I do understand the $$$ component, trust me, but I think long term, setting the eternity into a channel set setting would be the most complimentary to your set. For one thing, it would sit lower whereas the current eternity sticks out farther than the other two rings a little. I envy your long lower fingers and wish I could wear that many mm of rings!!!
Hi diamondseeker. No, there is no risk of damage to my pear setting from the grizzly eternity claws. The jeweler made the setting with arrow head claws that don't scoop out until they are up & over the top of the eternity ring. The only thing the spikey claws come into contact with is the flat side of the pear, which is a solid channel. Here's a pic. But thank you for asking. It was only when I joined PS that I came across claws eating into claws, so we had the new setting made
