Which vendor for a 2 ct Oval?

Hi Everyone!

Well, my boyfriend has finally given me the green light to begin the search for the diamond for my e-ring.

I would like a diamond with the following stats:

Shape: Oval
Weight = around 2 ct.
Color = G or better
Clarity = SI1 or better

Are there any PS vendors that have a reputation for sourcing well-cut ovals?

Hi Kelly,

Goodoldgold has found some gorgeous ovals for people. A poster here had a video made by them for her to choose from, it''s posted in here by Mrssalvo, about 3/4''s down the page.

I think GOG has a good rep for non-rounds. Do a search of the search by cut utility here, and you''ll see 2 listed...one from him.

The other is from JA.

I think with GOG you''ll both pay, and get...some premium for his expertise.

Are you near a sharp appraiser?

You might consider working with both vendors, identifying a boutique appraiser (search here to find 3), and picking with the sharp appraiser''s help. I think you could work at a distance with an appraiser.
