So I am wanting to reset my 0.80 asscher into a Tiffany Legacy replica. My choices are:

The Excel diamonds one:

Or this one that Whiteflash can source for me? (Pic below)

My issues:

Excel diamonds can make this "custom" for me which means that my request to have the outer edge of the halo be more "cushion" shaped like the original (even though I have an asscher) can be accomodated.

The Excel Diamonds one can be made in Palladium.

The Excel one is much more expensive.

The Whiteflash one would be 18K white gold and as far as I''ve gotten back from them yet(still waiting official word) it comes as is so the outer edge of the bezel would be cut cornered which is not really what I want. Doesn''t come in Palladium.

But... the Whiteflash one is hundreds of dollars cheaper.

What to do???

I know you said the WF one doesn't come in palladium, did you call and ask to confirm this? They could likely do a custom for you, don't know how that would stack up price-wise though.

I prefer the Excel one.

I think the WF version will look better with an asscher IMO.

I like the excell better. The WF looks chunky to me. Wish you had a top view.

Edit - I know you are probably looking for nicer but lots of folks on the colored stone forum have had luck with
LOGR legacy rings.

Here is a link to one. You can upgade the stones and basically tell them to change anything you want (for a fee).
I think they look pretty good for the money.

You are planning on wearing it as a RHR correct? or is this your engagement ring?

EDIT (AGAIN)
Here is a thread that has a lot posted in it. I love the one with the light pinkish pad in it.

Yes but it''s too expensive and prong set - really want bezel.

Where do you get the LOGR?

None of the above. If you want a bezel, I''d go for a custom one by a CAD. If you want to work with WF, they can do it.

I''d have the bezel be as THIN a line as possible. And make sure it is perfectly perfectly symetrically octagonal and exact. I''d have 1 pointers or SMALLER in the halo and make sure the halo more diamond than metal, except for the outside edging of metal. I''d have the gallery as highly finished and polished as possible. Again, more diamonds showing in the wires than metal. And have the bezel of the surprise stones be completely perfectly done. THEN I''d ask for the milgrain, very very fine milgrain not the big bumpy stuff, to finish the piece off. And I would make darned sure that any number of CADs that were executed to do this were perfect.

He is an ebay seller. Do a search on the colored stones forum to see a lot of his rings (Search LOGR). Also you may want to ask
on that forum if folks are happy with the quality (we are not talking Whiteflash custom or designer quality).

Also if you look on this thread you can see some links with all of his settings that he sells.

It is about the 11th post down by tourmaline_lover (3 links).

Love that but I don''t have $2,500 to spend.
Any thoughts on how much Whiteflash would do it for in Palladium?
