Which Tiffany Soleste should I buy?

I picked out two Soleste rings, and trying to decide which one to buy. Hope you guys can help me decide!

It's 0.82 ct vs 1.21 ct, price difference is $10k. Is it worth to buy the bigger one? From the specs, which one has better deepth and table? Which one is a better stone? The 1.21 ct is a lot more rectangular. Hope you can see the pics. Thanks in advance!

Do you have any more pictures? It is hard to tell anything about the diamonds. But from the picture posted, I like the shape of the one on the left. I would really want over a carat for the center stone, though.

Do you only want a Tiffany brand ring? Just asking because you can get one equal to better quality made for much less or with a larger center stone.

I prefer the smaller squarer stone for this ring, I do not think the "look" of the other warrants another 10k, you could get a fabulous band, even from Tiffany's, for another 10k.

"Specs" dont really tell us much with fancy cut stones. Great for round brilliants but fancy cuts...not at all. All we can go
by is the pictures you posted and they are not very close up. Do you have any more close up pictures of the rings (straight on
view) that you could post?

From what you have given us, I prefer the one on the bottom (ring finger) but I could be totally misleading you because the
picture just isnt good enough to give an opinion.

What did your eyes tell you? View the stones in as many different lighting conditions as you can.

Here on PS we usually pick the stone from a big selection of stones then we have it put in a soleste type setting. PSers are
usually very picky about their stones so being able to do this works quite well. Unfortunately, with Tiffany, this isn't an
option. .

I like the one on the ring finger as well. The one on the middle finger looks dead though it could just be the angle it was taken at. As for carat size I wouldn't be too concerned as they both have nice finger coverage.

I do love the shape of the square one, but the second one has great finger coverage and looks beautiful too, so I'm leaning towards the rectangular one. Love the soleste. You can't go wrong with either one.

Well, you know which one I like. But as I said before, you have to go with your gut. If you prefer the square one, that's the one to get. IF you want a larger one, you can keep looking for a larger square, though. Most people go for square--as evidenced here, I like more rectangular ones, though I am an oddball with cushions. As you can tell from what I said over there, you cannot buy fancies by numbers, corraborated here!

In your first set of photos I liked the square one better. But in your second set of photos I actually like the rectangular one better!

Goes to show how hard it is to tell these things from photographs.

Both are so lovely. I think mostly it depends on if you prefer a square silhouette vs a rectangular silhouette. Can't really go wrong though!!

In the 1st photo, the squared one looked better, but the second set of photos has me thinking the rectangular one looks just divine! BUT, really, can you go wrong either way? I think not! Congratulations on your new ring.

I do like the more square shape better if worn for an engagement ring. I might like the rectangular better for a right hand ring. I'd probably wait and get a slightly larger square one if your budget really allows for the price of the other ring.

Re "crushed ice"- although it might be easy to get the impression reading Pricescope that there's something wrong with this style of diamond, Tiffany , Graff, Cartier and my old alumnus Harry Winston ALL carry cushion stones that could be described as crushed ice. These are some of the worlds most esteemed jewelers, selling to some very astute clientele.
Maybe they know something......

I love the soleste! I understand some here find Tiffany to not be the best value, because you can get more for your money elsewhere, but I also think the soleste is not always duplicated as beautifully as the original.

In the first pictures, I like the square one better; however, in the second pictures I like the rectangular one better. Part of that is because it's got more finger coverage though. Only you can decide if that size difference is worth 10k, to me it wouldn't be. But you could keep looking for something a little larger in your budget if you want. Either way, you really can't go wrong and they look stunning on you!

And if you think that statement is nuts I have compared my Victor rings to rings in Tiffany and they are better made. You could get something comparable made for less at Diamonds by Lauren or Brilliantly Engaged.

The designers you mention can absolutely make this ring and sometimes better with savings left over towards the purchase of the center diamond. So you can buy a larger diamond with the money you save on hot buying the Tiffany name.
Brilliantly Engaged did a Tiffany Soleste 2 months ago for a pricescoper and she revealed the ring on show me the bling, it is a stunning ring!
