is there anywhere where you can 'try on' a spacer band, to get an idea of what it would look like before you invest in it?

Unfortunately I don't think so. My gut tells me it is not a look I will like, I don't think I want any interruption... but I suppose you never know.

I think if it's a tiny spacer, it probably won't bother you. I've seen many posters' sets that have spacers, and when done well, honestly you hardly notice!

I think I'll do some searching to see. Last night I was all like "Oh I'll just wear them together and see what happens, I can buff out the scratches!" And then I woke up today thinking that I really do not want to permanently damage my semi0bezel ring, it is too pretty to hurt it like that! :halo:

Yeah, the gorgeous shared-prong dream band is really just a tiny, round, diamond-tipped saw that is going to nibble away at your solitaire until it's cut through.

You don't have to use a spacer if you don't want to, you could always have them soldered together  (*shudder*)

I'm sure the perfect spacer is out there somewhere!

I have had the exact set you have (well, the e-ring was a WG bezel with YG shank and the band was 7 pointers). That's the best look I have found. I've tried on a bunch of other bands and I would say your best bets are a plain band (I know, boring!) or a 3 sided pave band - although I don't know if it would scratch the e-ring too? The spacer band would work too, but I agree that it spoils the look... Good luck in finding something that works!

I am thinking plain band is the way to go. I need to find a way to test drive a spacer. We'll see!

Number 3, but I really favor a plain rounded metal band in the middle!

Same. I think plain would look best.
