which settings are "safe"??

So, I got together with my sister this weekend and noticed she wasn''t wearing her e-ring ring. She said it was because she had nicked her baby with it

Her setting is a cathedral setting and I never thought it sat up too awfully high.

I guess I have already seen pics of everyone''s rings here, but I''m wondering how high they are, and if you have problems of hitting them against your children, or anyone else, or just hitting them on stuff around the house or office.

I don''t want to have to take off my e-ring because it''s injuring people! But I also don''t want to get a bezel set ring. So what kinds of settings are "safe"?

I have whiteflash's w-prong, which sits relatively low (but high enough to showcase my stone!)
