I''m wondering what people''s opinions are on settings that enhance a round brilliant stone''s "roundness".
What setting types are best to keep the round stone looking round?
I find that bezel sets are too busy and I dont'' like that you can''t see the stone from the side.
I find that four prong settings sometimes make a round stone look square-ish.
I find that six prong settings make a round stone look busy.
I''m looking for a solitaire setting OR something similar to WF''s "Harmony" or "3-Row Domed micro pave". I know a solitaire vs. a pave band....very different looks, but I haven''t decided yet. I used to think the pave type, similar to Michael B''s Princess ring. But now I think I''ll have more options for the wedding ring if I go with a solitaire.
Anyway for now I''m looking for advice on how to keep a 1 carat round brilliant stone looking, well, round
Thanks.
