Okay so I gave up on a project ring as it looks like it is way out of budget. In the meantime I would like to add a ring to be purchased by my mom for my bday gift. Would like to stay under $150 shipped if possible. I will show my short middle finger stack so you can see where this new ring might fit in.


Which should I get:

14k twisted 1.5mm Rose Gold Etsy Kykeannemetals? $138 with shipping (all my rings are 2mm would this look funny? She does a 2mm but $220 so don't really want to do that)


14k domed 2mm Rose Gold band e-weddingbands $131 free shipping and engraving



14k Rose Gold something textured like this? 1.5mm $100 and 2mm $125


Originally I wanted that 3 toned Cartier look with solid bands but then I received that beautiful bluenile sapphire ring which changed the stack.
Maybe you have a better suggestion or find? Please show me yours if you love it! Thank you~

I have a RG twisted spacer, and I love it, so I'd go that route.

I like the twisted rose gold the best, but I would go with the 2mm one. I am afraid the smaller one might not look right with the others,

Enerchi- Did you get your twist spacer from Kyle Anne Metals on Etsy? Is it the standard 1.5mm? Also is it as comfortable as regular bands or does it push into the side of the fingers? Do you have a pic by chance? I tried to search.

DiamondSeeker2006- I am afraid of the 1.5 not looking quite right too. I appreciate your feedback! Do you think $90 more is a fair price for the extra .5mm? It goes from $130 to $220.

There are other Etsy makers for this style band but I think I remember seeing PSers really loving this particular maker.

I think I listed it first because it was my first choice too! What to do...

I agree with DS2006 about having the same 2mm width for all your bands. I would not go for the plain rise gold band, it would make the sapphire look like the odd one out rather than part of a stack. I like the textured or engraved one, but that is just my personal aesthetic.
I have no idea why the 2mm twisted band is so much more. $130 for 1.5mm = $43/.5mm. $220 for 2mm = $55/.5mm. :confused:
Is it harder to twist thicker gold therefore requiring more skill or time?
I would also put the new rose gold band closest to your hand as you have your current stack.

I had DanielM make it for me when they were about to deliver my 4 other items. It was a last minute idea and Caren showed me a loose twist and I said go for it! It is probably 2mm thick. It sits between my 1/2 eternity and my 3 stone so I do not even notice it. Occasionally, I will just wear it alone and it is weightless - i completely have no awareness it is even on. I love it! Its in 14K RG.

That's exactly what I was thinking JaneSmith that this band should be more like $172. Maybe it is harder to make? I emailed her to ask about thickness and the difference in size and weight. We shall see what she says. The textured I think is my least favorite right now. It looks dark to me. Maybe I am suppose to keep looking! I do want to compliment what I already have so it seems cohesive.

I really like yours! It looks more like they took it and twisted from both ends. Trying to envision it with my stack. Do you mind sharing the price you paid? Not sure if that is PC on PS so forgive me if not. I did look on etsy to see what else Daniel M had and I actually liked this ring too. They can make it in 14k RG.





Only problem is its more at $275. I could get a LOGR with diamonds with that kind of budget...

Fortunately it won't fit! I could probably squeeze it on. 7.5 fits exactly for my middle finger but with all these bands I have been ordering 7.75 and 8. Plus I actually like my rings to fit a little on the loose side. Besides that, my personal birthday budget is used up and then some with the preloved band I got a week ago. My husband keeps reminding me that my birthday is over. :o

Really looking to stay in the $150-200 range. Notice how that budget keeps inching little by little :saint:
No really my mom has done a lot of generous giving this year with my entire family and I don't want to take advantage.
