Long story short, all of the diamonds I posted about earlier have been sold. Darn my indecision!

I found a great deal, however, and if anyone reads this....is there any reason I shouldn't order this stone? How do you like it?

AGS0
J, SI1
.41 ct
Depth: 61.6
Table: 56.5
Crown Ang: 34.7
Pav Ang: 40.8
Girdle: Sl. Thick/Thick
Flour: Medium Blue
Measurements: 4.74 x 4.80 x 2.93 mm
HCA: 1.4 (EX/EX/EX/VG)

I'd appreciate any help!

Thank you, Ellen! You don''t have any concerns with the Sl. Thick/Thick girdle?

No. It''s not going to hurt anything. It may be facing up just a tad smaller than it could, but that''s all it''s doing. Since you don''t have a huge selection to choose from, I don''t see it as a reason to reject it.

And yer welcome!

Yep, it will face up a tiny bit smaller.

For comparison the .414 the thin to medium pendant I ordered had the following measurements:

. Depth %: 61.1
. Table %: 54.5
. Crown Angle: 34.6
. Crown %: 15.7
. Star : 55
. Pavilion Angle: 40.7
. Pavilion %: 42.7
. Lower Girdle %: 76
. Girdle: Thin to Medium Faceted
. Measurements: 4.80-4.82X2.94

ETA: But, the table in the one you picked out is bigger, which I think is better for pendants?

Thank you MC! I don't mind it facing up a tiny bit smaller if everything else is in line. The diamonds I considered before were well-cut, but this is an AGS0, so I'm a bit more comfortable going this route (since it's a BN diamond, and they don't offer pics/idealscope).

I spoke to Blue Nile, and the rep said that at this size (and with the inclusion map looking very clean), it's most assuredly eye-clean. However, they do have a 30 day return policy, so given the chance it isn't, I could always send it back.

Well, the diamond is here, and it's beautiful! It's too small to see any inclusions with my eye, but it looks like it has a small feather in the back (according to the AGS certificate). It's a very clean SI1.

It's in one of those temporary rings, so I've been wearing it on my finger this whole time (except for when I held it up to my neck to see how great it looked). I'd say that's a good sign. I feel kind of silly getting excited about it as several PSers have purchased one earring in the same size, but just love it!

Now, how to set it. I'm still waiting to hear back from WF, so I might check out a local place.

Ooh exciting! When do you think you''ll have it done? It''d be nice to have it all set and sparkly on your neck for the holidays!!

It'll definitely be set and ready before the holidays, if all goes to plan! I'm thinking about taking it up to the local place to look at their work/possibly drop it off to be put into a full bezel. I can't wait to see what it looks like finished.

Thank you, alj! He is a sparkly little guy. And SO white. It's the excellent cut paired with the medium blue flour. I hope that others looking for pendants and earrings don't overlook the well-cut Js and even Ks. They're such fabulous deals.
