Hi,

I am new to diamond and have spent a lot of time doing research online.
After about a month, I am now deciding between the following two diamonds:

GIA cert: http://www.jamesallen.com/grading_report.asp?pic=1517940

Factor Grade
Light Return Excellent
Fire Excellent
Scintillation Excellent
Spread
or diameter for weight Very Good
Total Visual Performance 1.1 - Excellent

and

GIA cert: http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/certificate.aspx?idno=2836048&file_name=1

Factor Grade
Light Return Excellent
Fire Excellent
Scintillation Very Good
Spread
or diameter for weight Very Good
Total Visual Performance 1.4 - Excellent

I am not sure if I should worry about the feathers in 2836048?
I realise we may need to see the diamond in person to tell which is better, but I just want some general feedback and advice so I can put them into consideration.
Just by looking at the GIA reports, which one looks like the better buy?

Thanks in advance!
Steve

They are very similar, need pictures and Ideal scope to chose between them.

Are you targeting those proportions for a reason?

Hi Julie,

I thought a HCA of 0 - 2 is ideal?
Are you referring to those proportions?

Steve

It is just slightly atypical for both to have table 58-59/low crown combo. Just wondering if you were targeting it on purpose or not.

Hi Julie,

Thank you for the reply so far.
They just happen to be in those proportions. I think those these ranges tend to give higher HCA scores.
So I guess I will be safe to choose either of those rocks?
