Hey

I am looking at their lab grown diamonds but have trouble choosing what would be better if I would buy from them.

When looking at the picture, I see alot of tiny bubbles? What are they? Do they effect anything?

If you look at the diamond through the back and look more bottom right, I see some lines are these scratches?

Not sure why the price jumps so much for an extra 0.3 carats

does not look too bad, same see some bit of bubbles but they also does really show 360 view like the others.

Those lines are most likely due to subpar polishing. Remember this is tremendous magnification. They can also be seen on earth diamonds. But you can find other diamonds without them, with excellent polish, like this beautiful one below. For just a little bit extra, you might have to go bigger. What a horrible problem, lol.

I am in Canada so I can't use a site like cleanorgin and more stuck with BE. If you have any suggestions from BE that would be great.

Also I would like to stick under 0.75, I think it looked best on my gf.

May I ask what your budget is?

You will need to run any diamonds that catch your eye through the HCA tool under the Tools tab at the top of the forum, in order to sift out the ones that have scores under 2 (i.e. crown and pavilion angles that work together).

The usual Pricescope recommendations for angles / measurements to aim for is:

Table 54-58%
Depth 60-62.4%
Pavilion angle 40.6-40.9
Crown angle 34-35 (perhaps up to 35.5 with 40.6 pavilion)

As the crown angle increases, the pavilion angle should decrease - i.e. c34/p40.8 but c35/p40.6.

Some of the stones you have picked have 36 degree crown angle - if the HCA scores on them are under 2 then the pavilion angle works with the crown angle, but as I understand it, the potential increased opportunity for coloured fire from a higher crown might need to be balanced against potential increases in obstruction (darkness) from further away than lower crown angles.

(Hopefully that's correct - with luck someone else will be able to confirm my understanding or point out it's wrong!)
