I have been in contact with a WhiteFlash representative who is helping me finalize the details of ordering an engagement ring. The representative has recommended these three diamonds, and I thought I would ask for advice here. I am leaning toward the rightmost A CUT ABOVE diamond, but am turned off by the apparent crystal near the center. Any advice you could provide would be most appreciated.

Here's the link to a comparison:http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/compare.aspx?idnos=3488757,3328818,3502504

Thanks!

Most likely the G color for me but I'd just check how eye clean it is. I'd rule out the centre ES stone.

The ACA I Si1 0.564 has an extra 0.2mm spread over the others which is a visible amount. Being an I it may have slightly more yellow tint than the a G but it should look very white still. Whiteflash also have eyeclean on the one with the central inclusion so I would trust them on it.

You may also want to make sure it is eyeclean when looking at it at the side and from an angle (as this is not assessed in their definition of eyeclean).

Is the extra 0.2 mm spread a desirable trait?

0.2mm is a visible difference, yes, if they are next to each other.

I have a 0.51ct 5.1mm and a 0.59ct 5.3mm rbs; the smaller one is a G, the larger one is an I color. They both face up very white, and the only time I see any tint in the I is from the side in bright sunlight, and it is very slight. Larger stones show body color more than smaller ones do, so you have some leeway at this carat weight imo. As for size, I can see the difference when they are side by side, but worn alone they look pretty much the same.

I like the smaller G color ACA - I think despite the eye-clean mark, I may still be able to pick up on the inclusion under the table in the VS2 I - I would ask WF if the inclusion is right under the table or deeper in the stone - if it's deeper it may be less visible. I like the images for the G the best, but either ACA is a winner really. I just don't care for the middle one at all given the ACA options. :)
