which of these diamonds would you buy and why, mostly ignore color if you could, unless that was the only deciding factor :)) this would be keeping upgrade policy in mind as well. Thanks for your opinions on these diamonds in advance. Currently im leaning toward the JA .84 K

and ive already reported to have it moved

I had seen that! Im mad there were 3 other ones that I've sense put on hold in that Ja link, so they aren't there anymore, but I didn't save the links anywhere else. There's a 84 pointer with a 54 table that I like the look of, its 62.4 though so I had some questions on it. I wanted to go with them oor one of these other vendors for the upgrade policy. I'll post the links when they get back to me I guess.

Just from the numbers I like the last one the best (but I'm guessing you've got IS coming?), and of course, even though you'll have to spend double with them with an upgrade, that ought to not be too problematic. :) I'd stick it in a temp ring (even though you may not like them) and save as fast as you can for the upgrade.

Did you request images already? If so, I'd take the middle one out. Once you upgrade, I don't know how that 3 IS images thing works or if you get another set of them or if all you ever get is 3 (so save one). Better still, invest in a little kit (about $60) and you can cut all that 3 IS limit folderol out on your own!

i requested all three, but im leaning toward the small table one already. I know its a little deep, which is why i just added the other two, just for options. Your right, i will be setting it in a temp setting. I didnt want to get into it because i know my dissatisfaction in my current ring is a source of aggravation for some people on this site, so i didnt want to include it in this post. But my plan was to get this one in the plainest of settings, then, sense Ill be sending my ring to JBEG (probably) after my wedding in november. Then once it sells ill be upgrading this to a larger k, then setting it in the same setting my pear is in now, sense i really do love it with my wedding band. And i was planning on upgrading to a 1.1 k or so at that time, so shouldnt be hard to double the price i paid, sense the .84 is almost exactly 2k

I understand. The .80 ought to be ok also, but I just hate the look of those spindly little arrows on things, always bugs me....but that's just a personal preference. My guess is both the first or the third ought to come back fine on the IS image.

just fine? would i be better off getting one of the other ones from BG or GOG? I like the small table so i thought that one looked good, but i only have a medium understanding of picking rounds. Not as in depth as others here. The only reason i didnt like the BG one is because it doesnt hit that 6mm mark, and it would be harder to upgrade with BG because you have to upgrade color and clarity, right? and its already really high clarity.

Yes, fine! :) Don't stress on it! My first stone was from JA, which I picked in a panic because I had run out of my "3 chances", and only on the numbers, no images (I bought my own IS so I could check it myself). It was a lovely stone! (Just fine!) I think had very similar number to the .84 you are looking at, but was a tad shallower, but 34.5/40.8 is a favorite CA/PA for me and I like the slightly chunkier LGF. The only reason I say "fine" is because I like the back-up of a good IS because I still don't often trust my choices (which is why I ended up going the way I went eventually with the BGD stone I have now) and like to get the reassurance of the strong IS image as well. I just haven't been doing this long enough to know what all the 'good" combos are!

And though I like BGD and love the Blue line, since you are angling to stay in the same color range and only increase size, I'd probably not suggest the BGD route for you for that reason. You'll have a much easier time through JA for what you want to do though you only have to upgrade 2 of the C's through BG, not 3 (so either color and size or size and clarity) I still think you're going to get more leeway doing what you want to through JA.

Haha I'm such a woman  fine to me always equates to "just OK". .... but good on I really like that. 84 one so that makes me feel more confident. And yeah I am not aiming to spend ideal cut g-h prices, so I do think James Allen is the way to go. I'm hoping come my upgrade I'll be able to find one with some strong fluor though.

LOL! I totally understand. It'll be more than just ok. The stone I had from JA was very nice (AGS000), very sparkly and ALWAYS got noticed! :) It was no shabby shaker! And there was no comparison at all with it and the majority of stones I see around me IRL.

Of course, that AVR you were looking at is very nice too, and also a fabulous upgrade policy....(my personal preference look wise is for the AVC over the AVR's though)

The only thing holding me back from the AVR is that its more expensive, and their cheapest setting i think is 400, so thatll end up being like 600 dollars more

The AVR...no one will have a stone like that one. I've never cared for MRB or round stones but I just love the AVR's and OEC's. I remember a bout a year ago someone had a N colored AVR and was taking a GIA class. No one in the class could guess the color. Pretty funny ...they are such marvelous performers.

If the money is the issue I would get the G I1. In Diamonds that small no one will see the inclusions with the naked eye...they are white and close to the girdle anyway.

Sometimes GOG will have some used settings for a great price, which might fit the stone.

I just saw someone post that they were thinking of buying that M IF.... I dont want to swipe it out from under her, especially sense she seems to really love it, and I would only be using it for a few years until i upgrade it....

And as for the I id be too worried it wouldnt be structural sound. I am using it to upgrade. And i know i can insure it, but i would rather not have one id be afraid of damaging.
